RAAL 1995 headphones, Magna and Immanis

    Heavily agree.

    RAAL 1995 Immanis

Interesting, I haven't heard about that yet. Too much on my wallet's radar these days... Immanis... X8000... new Hifiman flagship...

    RAAL 1995 Immanis

I'm still heavily considering a VM-1a for my incoming Immanis...

Munich High End 2024 or does anybody has a bottle opener?

I'm glad to see the ES-1a being shown off. It is a headphone that is seriously slept on.

Munich High End 2024 or does anybody has a bottle opener?

I've been excited to see more about the Final Audio X8000. That and the Immanis are probably the only recent headphones that interest me at all.

Introducing the CORINA Electrostatic Reference Headphone

I agree with some of the thoughts above. X9000 has QC concerns but is IMO slightly more impressive than Corina. If it weren't for these concerns, I'd prefer the X9000. Corina is a very pleasant listen, but still technically excellent. Hard to go wrong, unless you get unlucky with channel...

RAAL 1995 headphones, Magna and Immanis

You're tempting me to pick up a VM-1a to pair with my future Immanis.

HIFIMAN Shangri-La: The New Electrostatic Headphones From HIFIMAN

Money well spent... Lots of channel imbalance out there.

RAAL 1995 headphones, Magna and Immanis

This is probably answered elsewhere in the thread. Can I run Immanis off of a VM-1a? How does it do? Considering grabbing tubes of some sort to compare against my AHB2, LA90D, etc. I've also considered the WA33.

    RAAL 1995 Immanis

No judgment by any means! Your ears will probably last for longer than mine.

    RAAL 1995 Immanis

Haha, this is where my brain went, too... Feels like I average 75-85dB depending on my mood. Still have well above-average hearing for my age.

    Warwick Acoustics APERIO and BRAVURA

A great review. For my tuning preferences and head shape, the Aperio has been my endgame. I've owned a vast majority of the TOTL and Halo products on the market today and can't find a better all-rounder. I'll be curious to see if my future Immanis challenges it or ends up being a complementary...

RAAL 1995 headphones, Magna and Immanis

Could be his preferences, hearing ability, head shape, etc. In my case, I don't find the Susvara to be shrill, even on tracks with poorly mastered instruments or vocals (i.e., added sibilance)

RAAL 1995 headphones, Magna and Immanis

I appreciate your clarification. That's a tough one! I have the Immanis on order, but I really enjoy both the CA-1a and SR-1a. I find the mids and treble more pleasing on the SR-1a, but prefer the bass on the CA-1a, generally speaking. Tempts me to order a Magna, too, just to compare... but I...

CanJam Singapore 2024 Impressions Thread (April 6-7, 2024)

Any additional notes you could share regarding the new RAAL headphones? You mention that the Magna is more impactful, but I have heard the opposite, as well. Would you say that the Magna has more sub-bass and/or mid-bass quantity, or is it just more tight or more pressurized within the cup...

RAAL 1995 headphones, Magna and Immanis

I might be jumping on the hype train with an order. Hoping to have it in the early fall. Maybe earlier, if I get lucky.

    Warwick Acoustics APERIO and BRAVURA

I enjoy an endgame Susvara almost as much as Aperio. That being said, I personally feel like Aperio is a better all rounder for my uses.

    Warwick Acoustics APERIO and BRAVURA

It's a great system. The resolution seems to outpace Shang and X9000. The bass surpasses the Susvara, which is excellent when driven properly. In many ways, it's a great headphone. It's not perfect, but perfection doesn't exist in this hobby. I may end up trying the Immanis still, but I've...

    Warwick Acoustics APERIO and BRAVURA

The Aperio is an excellent system. Still my favorite out of everything I've tried.

    RAAL 1995 Immanis

I appreciate your elaboration. I've spent some time reading your musings on the other thread, as well. Sounds like I may hang on to the Aperio system, given the similarities. If they're so close, I would rather take the lighter and more comfortable headphones, then. Shaving off over 200g and...
