Ah, that's a prototype of our All-in-One transportable, the tentative product code is CA-8 (TBC), we are still fine-tuning the design and finishing, that's why we haven't etched the labels on the front panel. It was meant for the 2025 release, still a long way before I have anything to talk about.

Cayin are you trying to kill me financially and physically if I try and lift that?

Well, we did considered that issue! :o2smile:

If we build a 40kg headphones amplifier in one chassis, the risk of hurting our customers is fairly high, so we adopt a two boxes, that should lower the risk significantly.

The financial consequences is an uncertainty, I suggested a much higher number at brainstorming session but my colleagues vital my suggestion collectively, so the final number turns out to be fairly user-friendly, IMHO.

Having been in manufacturing, I normally go in higher, looking at the costs, the return and others most always come in lower and they go with that.

Looking forward to the initial reviews, but wondering when this unit will actually be available as well as pricing. Someone mentioned in another post that it is about 7500 euros with VAT. What is the US pricing for this unit?

These two diagrams explain the main functions and input/output interface of Soul 170HA. We'll explain the features and design considerations in detail later, but I would like to highlight the power connection between the Amplifier chassis and the external Power Unit. Unlike the HA300/HA-300MK2, we have used two sets of umbilical power cords for the high-voltage and low-voltage connection separately. We incurred this design from our cost-no-objective 30th Anniversary Integrated Amplifier Pearl 30i which I included below for your reference. The Pearl 30i uses matched quad (4x) KT170 per channel and weighted around 90kg (yes, it hurts our back when we move them into a HiFi rack) and it uses FOUR sets of umbilical power cords. The Sould 170HA shared the same physical connectors and power management design as the Pearl 30i.

What is the advantage of using two umbilical cords?

Will there be any units going out for review Andy?

I sure hope so, but we are still months away from a marketable product, and finding a good reviewer with appropriate traffic and profile to cover this amplifier would be difficult. That is understandable because sending a massive amplifier like this back to Zhuhai after the review process will be tedious.
