I see a few Abyss AB-1266 TCs up for sale now. I am hesitant maybe I should hang on to these LOL. I saw the retail new price is now $6000 USD in case you didn't know. I am in a pet free / smoke free environment. My preference would be to keep the sale in North America. As international shipping/customs forms/etc are a pain and every country is a bit different.

I have one excellent condition AB-1266 Phi TC here. This is so far my favorite headphone of all times and worthy of end game. I'm thinking about trying to downsize my headphone rig to something more compact and portable (maybe a Diana? or IEMs like a 64Audio Forte?). I've had the TC for a while, (and the Phi non-CC/non-TC for a couple years before the TCs). Maybe it is time to shake things up and try something else?

I think the warranty period is out on these, didn't get registered for the extended. They were new Early/Mid 2020 if I remember correctly. One thing non-default for the Light/Standard package with my pair is that the stock cable is lengthened to around 12 feet. I put zip ties on it to hold it together and make it more manageable. I enjoyed being able to have a little more range before I have to set them down.

The headband is the heavy metal font and not the updated latest version Abyss is shipping.

Included
- AB1266 Phi TC Headphone
- Balanced 12FT (~3.7 meter) 4 pin XLR cable, with flexible 1/4" (6.3 mm) adaptor. All cables are high performance custom made by JPS Labs for Abyss.
- Velvet bag with embroidered ABYSS logo.
- The fancy wooden box
- I also have some non-standard pads cut to the headband shape to play with padding

500+ Head-Fier
I've had a bunch of trade offers that were tempting. I've been thinking about it and I don't feel comfortable trading on things I have never heard (Abyss Diana TC would be an exception since I think I have a good idea). I'm worried about trading down and not being happy with what I get. I need a CanJam where I can try some of these things out and know from hearing them and not blind buy.

For me to get back into the Abyss would cost $6000 today (or finding another used sale here). I think the better approach for me is to ask for cash. Then I can research and get what I want and feel more confident. I see how JPS is nickle and dimeing people for every last thing like if you want a little longer cable it's now $100 more. I might be better off withdrawing the sale and keeping the 1266 TCs. I'll leave this up for now and see if there is any interest that comes up. I'm not say absolutely no trades but most likely a no.
