Hello,

I'm selling the currently super hyped in Watercooler and for many headfier IEM of the year 2023 - both for good reasons: Canpur CP622B. It's a generalist that does everything at the highest level: among the best (if not the best) for the timbre, extremely good bass, fantastic mids (that are plastic and breathe), great dynamic contrast, resolution monster and special stage/holography. The CP622B is considered by many to be the favorable Storm, as good as it is. See some references of influential headfier below or search or ask in the watercooler. But ultimately I'm not looking for a generalist right now, so I'm selling it – with great regret.

The optical and technical condition is mint, as far as I can tell. The cable is still with the plastic film. Complete accessory package is available. Current photos from 30.01.24.

Low price for a quick sale. The CP622B is currently sold out everywhere (yep, at MusicTeck and Elise Audio too) and is low production.

The item is also sold elsewhere. It is already packed and ready for shipment. Shipping possible with UPS Express with delivery time one day or maximum two days or fully insured. As always, shipment at the buyer's risk. Very gladly a pickup with trial listening can take place in Berlin (Germany). If desired, I can gladly offer a call, video call or similar.

I am an active member here on the forum. 100% positive feedback can be seen in my profile, otherwise on eBay since 2005: https://www.ebay.de/fdbk/feedback_profile/f3rmolino. So you can buy with confidence from me.

Comparison with Mentor and Anni 23 below.

Headphoneus Supremus
Since many people have contacted me and asked about the comparison between the CP622B and Mentor as well as Anni, I have recorded these impressions, which I will now write down here. Note: They are quite superficial, I didn't go into any detail and I didn't look for mistakes in the language. Of course, these are just my impressions. So please bear this in mind.

CP622B (CP) vs Mentor (MM)
CP and MM are pretty similar in terms of timbre: natural-warmish. For me, the similarities end here. Main differences: CP has qualitatively better, excellent (ba-)bass, but less midbass therefore there is more room for the mids. MM has more body between midbass and mids. That is why it is slower than CP, as far as the midbass flows comparatively more into the mids. With CP, the mids have more space, or better: their own space in the stage. They sound plastic and breathe (because of the special deepness in the stage), are more forward, like in front of the microphone, while instruments are more in the background; in this context I find very special the deepness of the stage. MM has more upper mids and can be spiky. CP has well-balanced smoothness in this area and is therefore more pleasant to listen to. Treble: CP extends further and has more resolution and crispness. I had completely forgotten that CP had BCD and EST drivers, but I recognized them immediately (BCD through MM and EST through Anni) as good as they are. Stage: MM's stage is bigger overall - the biggest ever heard. CP is narrower, but a little higher and deeper. Still, the holography goes to Mentor. CP has more dynamical contrast, it's more musical All in all, I don't find them similar, CP has qualities that MM doesn't have. However, as I am a fan of the soundstage, I would prefer MM which still have totl qualities for me. The fit: CP fits like a glove, very comfortable. MM is fuller body, comparatively heavier sounding and slower because of the midbass. CP is faster. Subbass between both is comparable in quantity but CP has more quality.
Technically, CP can even be considered a better version of MM assuming the same timbre. There are some specific differences (e.g. in the midbass and top end), but the timbre (natural-warmish) and the mids (in the foreground etc.) are similar. As I could hear, I probably only find MM technically better in the stage and imaging area, but everything else (especially bass and treble, mids comparable, and cable I also like much better, the fit and so comfy is fantastic) goes to CP. CP is allarounder, maybe even more than MM, it is more complete.

CB622B (CP) vs Anni
First of all, CP is much lighter, it’s smaller and more comfy. I never thought about the weight of Anni in my ears until now. And: Both are completely different.
• Timbre: CP is natural-warmish, Anni is brighter but still on the warmish side.
• Bass: Anni’s bass has more slam, CP’s bass has more texture.
• Mids: CP’s mids are more centred and natural, Anni’s mids are one (or more) floor higher, the vocals dominate the scene, quite addicting I must say to hear. CP’s mids have more plasticity and definition, here again: more texture
• Treble: Anni’s treble… well, simply the best, period. CP is not bad at all here of course, it’s airy, crisp but not extended ad infinitum like Anni.
• Various: Anni sounds more energetic, vivid, clear, life-like, bigger, it has more macrodynamics. CP more natural, relaxed (but it’s itself not a relaxed IEM), timbre feels (much?) more right / coherent, Anni has a bigger stage and more airy, CP is more intimate but maybe more holographic, it’s deeper also, CP has more microdynamics and so overall texture. With Anni you just wanna dance. CP sounds more correct, normal – again, natural.
With Anni I have the impression as if the sound were like this „ V „. CP is more „ = „ (this should only give you an idea of the scene, but not its size!). Indeed I feel Anni’s wideness up in the corner and CP more on the side, what a strange comparison. You have another type of scene, as I said: Anni is more focussed top-outside and CP in the middle.
