Sennheiser suggestions for gaming/movies
Just go with PC350(or special edition) with astro mixamp. The mixamp can be used on both platforms. Closed cans provide isolation and a little more bass. i use open cans because I wanted a certain headphone (hd598). I think closed is better though. The mixamp is all you need. No...- AaronR

Sennheiser HD 598 Questions
It's really up to you. I personally like it when all sound features are disabled because they can definitely color the sound.- AaronR

bass heavy headphone for gaming
Denon 1100. I was looking at the D5000 for gaming and my music but they're discontinued. Anyways the D1100 are more affordable. You might also look at this thread http://www.head-fi.org/t/534479/mad-lust-envys-headphone-gaming-guide-updated-12-24-12-external-amp-section-added-w-3-amps. ...- AaronR

Considering the Beyer DT770, but I have some questions.

Also, in my opinion, the 80ohms need a little amplification because you're nearing that point, you'll just have to see for yourself.- AaronR

Considering the Beyer DT770, but I have some questions.
Reviewed by Mad Lust Envy. He's a console gamer but the headphones stay the same regardless the platform. I trust his review because I've also used the DT990's for gaming and now I use the HD 598's for competitive gaming. Here's what he said about the DT 770's Beyerdynamic DT770...- AaronR
