Actually, you can use bootcamp to install windows on your mac temporarily to do the firmware update. Haven't tried it yet on my macbook as i do not have the KA17, but i think it should work. It is a little troublesome and takes some time to go through the process of using bootcamp to get windows...

@FiiO when are stocks for KA17 arriving in Singapore retailers?

Would appreciate if you could carry the functions over from the KA5 to the KA17, play/pause, skip track, etc. And regarding the Fiio control app, would appreciate if you could add more functions, besides EQ settings. Thanks.
