amazing track. Playing with yamaha pro 500 and the bass on the headphones is like never heard before. Will take all headphones through this - will see which ones will survive. Currently playing out of the headphone out of mac pro.

Torq - there is an issue in El Capitan because of which many DACs have started experiencing issues. My iDSD nano has also started doing the same. Schitt fulla works perfectly fine. However with iDSD nano there are dropouts, or at times complete black out. I pull out the USB and insert again...

No, I don't find it strange, but interesting. With all the hype around chord mojo, the dragon fly being compared to it is interesting. More interesting because I am myself making up my mind for Mojo, and here comes a new product which is cheaper, easier to carry around, and possibly better too...

no, but a powered usb hub means no more portable :( I will try these two options a. dac into powered hub, and hub into ipad b. a y-cable with one going into ipad and another into powered hub. Can either be used or is there a way to find out which one is power and which one is data? Though...

After reading the compatibility list, I purchased a nuforce udac to use with ipad2 (the list is about ipad though) - purchased the CCK but it gives error "Cannot use device" - the connected usb device requires too much power. Blue light on nuforce lights up but no sound as ipad is not willing...

I tried searching the forum, but seems no one has yet done a detailed comparison of pb2 and sr71b. Eagerly looking forward for the same.

hrt istreamer - it is portable but costs $199. 

actually I meant in the price range of $325 - which is PB2, and PB1 is even lesser. Sorry for not being clear. I meant these [PB1/ PB2], and not sr71b as it is $650. I am actually torn between spending $325 on a balanced portable, or look for a balanced desktop amp, that is in this price...

is there any desktop amp in this price range, balanced or se, that can compete with these new powerful portables?
