SONY NW-ZX700
Thanks for sharing, yes I had read the earlier post - confirms Walkman Player reading m3u but not export capabilities for edited playlists. From your experience it sounds like it will be tricky. That's a dealbreaker for me, unfortunately. A pity, this almost got me back into DAPs!- BJPromo

SONY NW-ZX700
Thanks, that's one question down! I don't think I worded my other ones well. 1) I think Walkman Player will read m3u playlist files stored in the MUSIC/ folder root, but does anyone know if these are then editable - I can add further songs to the playlists they store? 2) If so, can these...- BJPromo

SONY NW-ZX700
I'm thinking of picking up a ZX707 but have a few questions that I can't seem to answer browsing this and other threads. 1) I have a 600gb mp3/flac library with extensive playlists, currently saved locally on PC as mbp files (MusicBee) but convertible to m3u. If I copy the entire library to an...- BJPromo

Mark Levinson № 5909 headphone
Thanks, these are exactly the kind of instructions I was hoping for. I'll try my hand at gluing the cheap, fakely stitched, flimsy, styrofoam-filled, DIY-requiring pleather-plastic headband back together on these £1k headphones. Will post some pics of the inevitable mess that follows.- BJPromo

Mark Levinson № 5909 headphone
Sorry to hear you got stuck with these. What made you order them, out of interest? If you have had no need to disassemble the original headband?- BJPromo

Mark Levinson № 5909 headphone
Has anyone taken apart the headband for their 5909s? I can see from a spare part listing on ebay that it splits into two parts, as in the photo. The leather padding is attached to an inner plastic rim, which then seems to click into the outer hard plastic band. But I cannot seem to separate mine...- BJPromo

Chord Mojo 2 Thread ___ [product released January 31, 2022 -- starting on page 95 of thread]
Just a qualifier to this - it doesn't work well with cellphone, which does not provide enough power to the DDC. For that you would need the U2 Pro, which has its own power supply. The U2 is good though for PC and laptop, and some tablets.- BJPromo

Douk Audio U2 Pro DDC - Poorman DDC for an affordable & clean digital signal
Thanks yes it's not to reduce noise on phone but to provide a stable connection via optical from Douk to Mojo 2. With USB from phone I get white noise attacks but not via optical or coax. Yep UAPP for Android wired output is a must. For BT from phone I use Mark Levinson 5909 which are OK...- BJPromo

Douk Audio U2 Pro DDC - Poorman DDC for an affordable & clean digital signal
Thanks Sajunky for replying and for the suggestions. My main reason for getting U2 over the Pro is that I wanted to be able to use on the go, connecting my android phone to my Mojo 2. My fault for not researching fully before buying. I will probably return it for now, and maybe buy U2 Pro...- BJPromo

SONY IER-Z1R
I've come this close to pulling the trigger on some grey market IER-Z1R imports, having enjoyed reading this thread over the past few weeks. But have just got to the end and reached the discontinuation news sad ending... does anyone have any hunches on the likelihood of a successor in the next...- BJPromo

Chord Mojo 2 Thread ___ [product released January 31, 2022 -- starting on page 95 of thread]
Thanks Rayon, I have been playing around with laptop > Douk U2 > Mojo 2 via optical and I do know what you mean about the soundstage. It's also crystal clear, almost jarringly so. Unfortunately, I didn't research the U2 well enough before buying and hadn't realised that a phone would not give...- BJPromo
