There are some comments above. Seems like this is for people creating content for Dolby Atmos music tracks. I can't see where this has anything to do with traditional gaming where you are looking straight at a monitor all the time. Seems really gimmicky for a gaming headset.

Will Audeze be making stock replacement pads available? I would very much be interested in a real leather replacement pad. Just like on the LCD line I like the feel of real leather over the protein leather pads.

That or there is some form of noise gate on the mic that triggers above a certain input level. At this point if they couldn't fix it in a 3 month time span and this current fix is what they came up with, I think it is what it is.
