Beyerdynamic T90 Discussion and Support Thread

While I don't listen to music with these very much anymore, I still find their transparency great with video games.

    Hifiman Ananda

Definitely yes. A few months after getting my Ananda's, I gave my 400i's to my mother and stepfather.

xDuoo TA-30 Amplifier Tube Rolling questions and rolls so far...

The TA-30 is a hybrid amp. With the stock tubes, it has a pretty warm sound, but it still doesn't sound like a full tube amp. I have a TA-30 and it pairs well with my Ananda's. I prefer my TH900's with my gen2 WA-7.

    Fostex TH900 MkII

The only difference is the detachable cable on the MKll. Some of the special editions like the Sapphire Blue and Pearl White have a different tuning, with less bass.

    Icon Audio HP8/MP 3

I use my TH900's on the low setting. I don't know the output impedance, but I have no complaints about the bass.

Fostex TH900 Impressions & Discussion Thread

I've been using mine with a Woo Audio WA7 Gen2 for the last few months and found it to be a great pairing. I think the midrange bloom of a tube amp a good match with the V shape sound of the 900. The WA7 is fairly neutral and the bass is quite good for tubes.

    Icon Audio HP8/MP 3

Based on comments from HE6 people, I'd look for an amp with around 6wpc. There are some people that run them off a stereo amp instead of a headphone amp.

    Icon Audio HP8/MP 3

Considering the Icon only has 800 mW peak power, I would expect you'd find the sound fairly soft with the HE6se V2. You should probably find something with at least 3wpc for those cans, if not more.

Beyerdynamic T90 Discussion and Support Thread

I have both the T90 and some non-Stealth Ananda's. The Ananda's mids are much more forward than the T90's. They create larger images than the T90. They have more sub-bass than the T90's but the T90's are punchier and more impactful in the mid-bass than the Ananda's. The Ananda's are extended in...

    Xduoo Amplifiers

I think the Valhalla is a very good amp for its price point. It isn't overly euphonic or rolled off in the highs, but it isn't bright at all, even with my Beyers. I think it's great at all kinds of music, not just slower tempo stuff. I have the original version of the Valhalla; the newer version...

I have a TA-30 and I enjoy it, but it doesn't sound like my all-tube Valhalla or HP8Mk2. It doesn't have the midrange bloom those two have but the bass has more impact. If you are looking for an all in one, you might consider a 2nd gen Woo Audio WA7. It was one of the amps I was considering...

Beyerdynamic Amiron Home (the new T90)

I find this to be true as well. When my T90's and DT990-Pro's were my primary cans, I found that they sounded best with my Schiit Valhalla.

xDuoo TA-30: lots of power and tube sweetness in a very complete all-in-one

The TA-30 is a hybrid amp. The two 12AU7's are used as a preamp. You would need a different type of tube to generate that type of power. The two 6SN7's in my Icon only produce 800Mw, peak power. Congrats on the TA-30 purchase, I enjoy mine, a lot.

Much of the "tube sound" comes from output tubes. Hybrid designs like the TA-30 and TA-20 will have some midrange bloom and warmth compared to most solid-state amps but not as much compared to all tube design like the TA-26. Of course, the bass response will be better with the TA-30/20 compared...
