Graphs are not representative of how an IEM actually sounds. Mega5ESt has more bass than the graph suggests. Also, Mega5ESt loves modest power not a ton of power. e.g. on the DX240, AMP8MKIIs, balanced, I keep it on low to medium gain. Anymore, and it just doesn't sound correct. There are also...

There's ton of IEMs that have "more" detail, but I can tell you none of them are as enjoyable as Mega5EST. FYI, it has the perfect amount of detail. Many IEMs force detail but lose balance elsewhere. This IEM isn't your regular IEM. It's very special, balanced and musical in a way that's hard...

Mega5EST 7th anniversary is on a higher plane vs MMK2 and so many other IEMs. MMK2 sounds a little more shouty as well. Technicalities is where I haven't directly compared them yet but form my listening Mega5EST I'm liking Mega5EST more because it's not forcing that detail compared to Monarch...

Yes, the deeper fit is exactly where this sounds perfectly balanced from bass to treble with stock short blue tips. A longer stem increases the bass too much for me. I guess depth 1st, tip type 2nd. These IEMs balance air so well so it's part of its magic. Fit is amazing as well. Smaller and...

I tried those but found the stock short blue tips bring out the best of this IEM. Perfect balance from bass to treble. This IEM doesn't work well with long stem tips. Meanwhile, after 24hrs burn in, Mega5EST went from excellent to Godlike using the included short blue tips. Stage height and...

Meanwhile, my Mega5EST 7th Anniversary just arrived today. On first listen, the hype is real boys and girls. IEM sounds open (as in Semi-open or open-back headphones )and nicely balanced. I ended up preferring the included Wider Bored Blue Tips. So stock tips aren't all bad as some have said...

Divinus Velvet don't do it for me. They kind of slightly dull the sound sig from bass to treble. Azla SednaEarfit Xelastec I & II are doing a wonderful job for me on most of my IEMs. Sound is more vivid.

Could you be justifying the 1K Monarch MKIII buy? :relaxed:. Many reviewers are saying Mega5EST smokes a lot of IEMs all the way to $2K. This IEM is disrupting the market. FYI, it's not necessarily "to be expected" that something more expensive sounds better. Look at the disruption Monarch Mk1...

He made me buy it. The way he was still praising it even after a month convinced me to buy it asap. Mine is on the way.

Flagship 10 Knowles BA FA19 Is Officially Released

I also prefer the Mega5 EST to my OG Monarch and Monarch MKIII. Would love to compare it to FA19 as well when available to me.

Mega5-EST 7th anniversary is your best bet. Smokes the DUNU and competes with many 1K-2K IEMs

I plan on getting these. Some of my favorite reviewers are saying very nice things about it. If you don't like shouty IEMs, it should be on your list. Edit: I just ordered these on Penon Audio, with zero Tax and free DHL shipping. Also, I ordered the HiFiGo Divinus Velvet Silicone Earphones Ear...

Cayin N3Ultra: an Entry-level Portable DAP that Delivers a Complete Vacuum Tube Audio Experience

Well, that engine isn't the same. The Alfa Romeo engine is 2.9L vs the the Ferrari's 3.9L version. Here, we're talking same part numbers, made by an excellent DAP Maker, Cayin. Also, A&K is no Ferrari of Audio
