Hello Beyerdynamic, are you there??
I have the DT1990 and they need simple equalization. I sent a pair to Amir on Audiosciencereview and he should be getting to them soon. Check his EQ settings when he reviews it since he usually nails the tuning pretty good with corrections better than the Autoeq profiles (they usually dial in...- dunring

Hello Beyerdynamic, are you there??
They just came out with the DT770 Pro X last month. I got a couple of pairs and did a review of them. The DT700/900 are pretty recent, the DT900 Pro is the one worth getting though.- dunring

Amp/dac for pc38x and beyond
The Soundblaster X1 is the least expensive and will sound really good. I've used one to power the Beyerdynamic DT880 600 ohm since when it detects over 120ohm the voltage is 2.4 volts on it. The Soundblaster G6 can be found on the Creative refurbished site for $69 with free shipping, warranty...- dunring

Trouble finding new music
I have some Google Music playlists here. It takes going through like 1,000 songs just to find one good one these days. We used to complain about greedy record executives, but they were the ones weeding out all the dud songs and putting just the best ones on the radio. Now it's finding anything... -
Reasonably priced all-in-one DAC/amp combo units with extreme power output?
I have an SMSL DO400 with 3 watts into 32 ohm and also is a 5.2v DAC and it sounds great. The Topping DX9 is more expensive but will do everything you want, including blow all other all in ones into the weeds. With less power but great value is the SMSL DL200 and CO200. With a stack it's so much...- dunring

Sennheiser HD598 replacement
For privacy and great tuning, the 7hz Salnotes Zero:2 is $24 and if needed the $9 Apple adapter. The US version has much more power than the EU one of its available.- dunring

Phone interferences with my Headphone cable
Try moving the phone near different connectors to listen when it gets louder to see what connector is picking up the interference. First thing is process of elimination to see if it's a cable that doesn't have enough shielding.- dunring

Review by 'dunring' on item 'SMSL DO200 Pro Balanced DAC'
I just got one of these today, shipped by Fedex from Aoshida-US and bought myself for $399 on Amazon. It's so new they shipped it direct from their factory, but should be in Amazon warehouses shortly. I have an audio equipment business, and have plenty of other high end ones to compare it to...- dunring

closed back headphones
Which types of music will you mainly be using it for? Also if it's for gaming too will really help on a recommendation. At that price point it's good to get the tuning that suits you best.- dunring

Endgame or not yet?
Endgame is a set tuned just the way you like and prices on IEMs have come down so much for quality it doesn't mean expensive anymore. Try the 7hz Salnotes Zero:2 to get an idea how great something can sound for $24. For me, the law of diminishing returns is the Moondrop Kato which I love using...- dunring

KZ PR1 or PR3 Getting my feet wet on Planar world!
The best female vocals would be the Truth ear Zero blue with an Apple 3.5mm to USB adapter because they need a little more power than a phone provides. I've had the PR1 and PR3 and would take the 7hz Salnotes Zero:2 over either. The planar worth getting is pricey, the 7hz Timeless original (not...- dunring
