True. When I take my aic places I just wrap it in rags of a beach towel in my tunk. @Danmellinger can confirm- eskamobob1

Honestly, I'd leave the listing up as you never know. Hell, I managed to get an he1 off of a wtb. Mostly just advising it may take a while- eskamobob1

Fwiw, you should consider msrp largely just a made up number in audio. Some brands have huge margins to make you feel like you are getting a deal while others offer none. Two amps with the same MSRP will often have wildly different actual costs to the customer. Not to mention, availability plays...- eskamobob1

FWIW, I dont think there is any greater risk of damage or anything. I do personally feel its worth the expense, yes, but some here disagree (@number1sixerfan and @goldwerger are two with tons of experience that feel the opposite of what I do on the topic for example). I would say dont worry...- eskamobob1

agreed here. my TD -> Stock aperio vs aic + sus isnt really a competition as sus looses only very minorly in detail and is a much more well rounded experience overall. It would be fun to see a better tuned aperio and how that stacks up, but who knows if we will ever get one.- eskamobob1

E-Stat Summit: Hifiman Shangri-La vs. Stax SR-X9000 (vs. HFM Shangri-La Junior)
Happened durring shipping with ups. Never got a straight answer, but the marbel wasn't even in the crate, so it seems like the unit was dropped outside of the crate and then shoved back into it with the missing pieces thrown away- eskamobob1

I frankly have 0 idea how crosstalk measurements play into the mono sound, but aic is one of the best staging amps I've ever heard. Raw image clarity is higher on a couple things (wa33 and 465/402) but the grandiose stage presentation isn't something g I've gotten on any other amp- eskamobob1

Vintage OG and Present Day TOTL Impressions
hey. yes, you can still buy it by its self (just email your dealer of choice). As for which can to get, that will super largely depend on your preference. Shang is a higher performer, but its also much more flawed than x9k. This leads me to want to rec x9k over it just as a safer bet tbh. If you...- eskamobob1
