    I know we've dabbled in the power tubes, but where could I find replacement for the original 6N6P ? Is the E182CC worth buying to get a better sound ? They seem quite hard to find.

    I am not exactly good at soldering, but do you juste remove the old chip and put the new one in, or is it more complicated than that ?

    I was considering buying a LD1+ for some Beyer DT990 (250ohm). What tubes should I look for ? If the LD1+ is even worth buying for those cans.

    Do you have to crank up the volume knob to drive your headphones reasonably ?

    Sounds amazing with the Valhalla 2, when tube rolled with some Amperex or Mullard for warmer sound.

    I guess about 12 o'clock, I have a pair of DT990 (250ohm) and I'm running them at about 8 o'clock to really get them to sing. All that on low gain though.

    I used a pair of Mullard '66 and it really did the trick.
