    Violectric V222 and V202

I upgraded from a Jot 2 to the v222. I was worried that the v222 would have less of the slam the jot is known for. It has more :) Also better resolution, width and depth, more forward mid-range, and smoother treble. An upgrade on all fronts in my mind.

    ZMF Atrium - new open-back co-flagship

I really love my Eufonika H5 with my VCs. Haven’t had the chance to try it yet with my new Atrium, but your post tells me I need to get on that :)

Is the Mest Mk3 still available as a custom? I didn’t see it on MusicTeck’s site.

Symphonium Crimson - Impressions and Reviews (The Next Standard)

Yeah I can’t quite tell if it’s somewhere in the mid-bass or the lower mids but they sound a bit thin or hollow to me. I definitely hear the sub-bass with them.

Symphonium Crimson - Impressions and Reviews (The Next Standard)

I’ve tried a lot of the tips mentioned in this thread. I think the Spiral dot ++ sound the best (amazing staging + separation), but unfortunately the fit doest’t work for me. I need a size between MS and M. Same with the Tangzu tips though the M sort of works due to the pressure mitigation. The...

    Violectric V222 and V202

It might be overkill, but it’s a big selling point for me to be able to use IEMs and my ZMFs with the same amp. The V222 works flawlessly for both at -18 gain (I’m a relatively quiet listener). Works great with my Mest mk2 and Symphonium Crimson.

    Violectric V222 and V202

I have an XLR switcher and volume control for my monitors stacked on top of the Bifrost and V222. Doesn’t look great but it works

    Violectric V222 and V202

All my IEMs sound great on the V222 with the gain set to -18. Right now I have the Sony IER-M9, UM Mest Mk2, and Symphonium Crimson. The Mest scales up sooo much with the V222. It’s my least favorite of the three on other amps but the synergy with the Violectric is bonkers. It’s a great SS...

Symphonium Crimson - Impressions and Reviews (The Next Standard)

I’ve only tried my desktop stack with them so far (Bifrost 2/64 -> Violectric V222). No complaints there but the Violectric on paper is the perfect pairing as it’s on the warm side of neutral and has very smooth treble. I’m on the lookout for a portable solution and was leaning towards...

Symphonium Crimson - Impressions and Reviews (The Next Standard)

I just got my Crimson a few days ago, but my experience with it vs the Mest Mk2 is very similar. Stage width and depth seem larger on the Mest, but not by much. In pretty much every other aspect I prefer the Crimson. Crimson has better bass quality (also seems to slam harder), better dynamics...

    Sony IER-M9 impressions thread

I left some quick impressions here: https://www.head-fi.org/threads/sony-ier-m9-impressions-thread.897604/post-17706463 Still the only tips I’ve been able to get to work reliably without a ton of hassle. Tonaly most similar to the Spinfit W1 (increases the stage width as well). Best isolation...

    Sony IER-M9 impressions thread

Has anyone tried the M9 with the Dunu S&S tips? I had a love / hate relationship with the M9 until I tried them. Love the sound with other tips, but deep insertion causes the housing to rub up against my ear which causes pain. Because the Dunu tips are long, I’m able to get good insertion...
