Great coverage, I can't wait to hear more about that JDS labs ZMF collab. Looks like a really unique piece of kit.

Seeing that it's meant as a portable device and not a desktop unit, having to bring along a specific cable just to use the diabalo really urks me the wrong way when USB C input would have been super convenient and feasible.

I'm confused on the purpose of having the 4.4mm outputs on opposite sides, disapointed to see no USBC input. at $1100, this is an easy pass.

I never had the chance to try the original IESL for electrostats, but everything I've heard about it has been overwhelmingly negative. Why spend over half a grand on a converter box when you could just get the real thing? I guess I understand the appeal of having such a versitile system, but the...

If the Maxwell had a non-DSP wired headphone out, would this still be the case for you?

I mean, the LCD-1 didn't meaningfully compete with any of the higher end models, while depending on what this turns out to be, I could see the MM100 competing against an LCD2C. I don't want to make my expectations too high, as to avoid being disappointed, but color me excited for these!

For those looking specifically for an open back headphone, I wonder how well an attempted open-back Maxwell mod would turn out.

At $400 if this is the case, then why not just purchase the Maxwell?

This would be good to know. I'd actually consider purchasing one of their headphones if the warranty is transferable.
