There is definitely a premium placed on some IEM’s - I agree with you there. But it doesn’t take anywhere near the same amount of time (and time is money) to reverse engineer someone else’s work and then sell it at a discount.

I recently added a Grado PS1000e to my stable! I'm looking for a portable amp and have read favorable reviews of the Woo Audio WA11 - has anyone used this amp? Or maybe the Woo Audio WA8?

They are the 2021 version. What is the difference with the headband? Tried looking it up; do the earlier versions come with a cushion? And the later a suspension strap? In your last pic that your volume was @ 1:00 - do the RFT ECC82 tubes tame the power some?

I’m still learning about tubes, but from what I was able to pick up, the 6922 works with a filament voltage of 6.3V, and the 12AU7 run at 12.6V. I wonder if theres a compatibility issues at play here?

I actually wrap my cable around my ears - eliminates the issue with the weight. It also helps with bass by maintaining the seal better! I did what you recommended BTW and removed the wire from my cable (It made it easier to wrap the cable around my ear!).

I’m very interested to know why the gain is reduced when using 12AU7 / ECC82 / ECC802 tubes? Could these tubes harm my LP? I need some gain reduction when using my LCD-X headphones.
