Best glue for earpad repair
Ok, so it's been a while, but I just had to do another repair to a pair of Fidelio headphones, for the same pad splitting. First, to give an update on those M1, I had tried shoe goo, but as I recall it was really stringy, and just didn't work. It's a slow setting glue, and the foam pads just...- oryan_dunn

Philips Fidelio L4 and T2 - Coming Soon
While in the past I was a huge fan of Philips Fidelio headphones, I can't support them anymore due to the lack of easily purchasable OEM replacement pads. I've had a number of M1, an L1, a couple L2, and an X2HR headphones, and I think only the X2HR were you ever able to get true OEM...- oryan_dunn

Side By Side Comparison - AirPods Max, B&O H95, Dali iO-6, B&W PX8, ML 5909, M&D MW75, Focal Bathys and more
I recently got the Studio Pro on the Amazon sale for $180. I've been looking for a set of ANC headphones for a while, and this is my first. The reasons I picked the Studio Pro over others are for a few reasons you didn't touch on. First, I'm all Apple, and yet, I didn't want auto-switching. I...- oryan_dunn

Are those electrolytic caps in the center there, hard to tell with all the glue? If so, it's possible they're starting to go bad. It seems in many retro electronics issues, it's the caps and just swapping in new will fix issues. Not sure if that's the case here, but could be.- oryan_dunn

That makes sense and I hadn't thought of that.... but wouldn't that also be the case when it is selecting between 2 sources to a single output? In that case, it's still going to short the output when you turn it all the way down, correct?- oryan_dunn

Hmm, but audio is an AC signal, so direction shouldn't matter, if all it is is a passive pot, correct?- oryan_dunn

Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up
I know that's on their site/manual, but why is that the case? Is it that it doesn't work or distort the signal, or that you just shouldn't do it for some reason?- oryan_dunn

Someone posed this site in the Grado thread as well. They had a GS3000e for $99. Definitely a scam site.- oryan_dunn

I have the RS2e, and take what I say with the knowledge that I've never heard the Hemp, but from reviews, graphs, and forum threads, it seems that the Hemp stock and the RS2e with F or TTVJ Flat pads are pretty comparable. I'm content with pad swapping on my RS2e when I want more bass and less...- oryan_dunn

The nice thing is it's an industry standard. There are other ways to hold your keys. One that is popular is called Yubikey, and it's a little thing you can put on your keyring. Just like keys, you can also make backups and store them in a secure location. Holding them on your phone behind...- oryan_dunn
