    T+A HiFi - DAC 200 - Official Discussion Thread

PCM side is built around eight BB1795 chips and DSD is their own design. DSD side is IMO the crown jewel of DAC200.

    T+A HiFi - DAC 200 - Official Discussion Thread

People seem to love the Bezier 2 filter on the DAC200. Maybe try that one first. Other than the filter setting, there’s not much to change. You can try if the 60khz analog filter setting has any effect.

Sounds like you would love what DSD oversampling has to offer. Unfortunately it’s not plug’n’play. I changed from R2R DAC (Holo Spring 3) to DAC200.

Is anyone using Dan Clark E3's with the Bliss? How's the synergy?

    Holo Audio Bliss

I’m sure there’s a small difference in benefit of Serene, but I’m just trying to get a grasp of how big this difference is. If there’s someone who has made the switch from Serene to Bliss and could give some insight. I won’t be having both of them, that just doesn’t make sense in my case. No...

Dan Clark Audio E3 Review: Interview, Measurements, Impressions

You might get sound out of your E3’s with the BTR5, but even the desktop amp FiiO K7 with 2W output doesn’t get the best out of these headphones, not even close. E3 scales very high with a powerful amplification.

I’ve bought Serene for my speaker setup also. Now I’m not sure if I need it anymore since DAC200 plays so great directly connectef to my ATC’s. Serene brings its own flavour though and it’s nice to have different options. I only need one XLR output so Bliss would be enough for connections. Any...

Yes I’ve read the review. I remember him saying it was the other way around, that Serene is slightly better as preamp.

    Holo Audio Bliss

I used the search function and tried to find an answer to the question asked many times in this thread. Is Bliss as good as Serene, used as preamp in 2ch speaker setup? There were a few vague responses telling that they should be almost the same but has anyone actually compared these two side by...

    T+A HiFi - DAC 200 - Official Discussion Thread

You need the custom update cable from T+A or alternatively you can make the update cable yourself if you know what you’re doing. I got the cable through the dealer, for loan.

    T+A HiFi - DAC 200 - Official Discussion Thread

I installed the latest firmware few days ago. Some nice new features available but nothing huge. I like it that the display now shows volume with big numbers when you switch it from the remote. Input-specific settings and possibility to rename the inputs are nice-to-have features. Also here's a...

Dan Clark Audio E3 Review: Interview, Measurements, Impressions

This could be me, having auditoned E3 extensively (~two weeks) at home and at the dealer and having auditioned Liric II’s at the dealer. I still own Aeon 2 Noire’s but E3’s are on the shopping list. Simply said, E3’s have a high vow-factor and they do things I’ve never heard headphones doing...

Dan Clark Audio E3 Review: Interview, Measurements, Impressions

Yeah I might sound overly negative about Liric 2. It’s not a bad headphone, definitely not. Fun to listen to and it’s slightly more comfortable and portable than E3. E3 feels heavier and little bit ”loose” on the head. The feel of Liric 2 is of very high quality. But still the overall sound...

Dan Clark Audio E3 Review: Interview, Measurements, Impressions

The E3’s expansive staging, something I’ve never heard from closed back headphone before, is probably the main reason which made the Liric 2 sound more ordinary. Everything played more in-your-head. It’s the same with A2 Noire’s when you compare them against E3. Everything is packed tighter in...

Dan Clark Audio E3 Review: Interview, Measurements, Impressions

I quickly auditioned the Liric II at the dealer today and I was somewhat disappointed. I must say that it sounded very ordinary compared to E3, which immediately striked me as something very special. Driven with Violectric V380, E3 sounds bigger, deeper and wider with stronger and more powerful...
