When i brought it, i remember that at first i didn't like it, to my ears sounded a little "boring" compared to the other headphones i had. In my case, since i have a small head, these thick pads helped to seal properly and make the bass go deep. I kept swapping them until i found the ideal one.

This is a generic sennheiser momentum 2 ear pad i had lying around but i think any other will work as long as it covers that part. When you peel off the original leather, there are some gaps between the housing and the ring, which ends up not sealing it properly.

Final form This headphone is extremely seal dependent, i wasn't getting good results before because the pads didn't fully cover the outer ring like the original, so i had to use a smaller one to achieve the same result.

Tbh, when i heard that Sennheiser was going to release a closed-back 6xx series i expected something like this I felt a little disappointed, never liked the 5xx chassis.

I'm sure their customer service is top notch but they have no local support or distributors in my country and sending it overseas for repair would cost about the same as buying a new one, so i'll just have to live with that.

I have one and it happens exactly as you described. To me it is a design flaw and Dan Clark never gave an explanation as to why this happens.

I ended up doing it myself with 3.5mm jacks, it wasn't half bad. Do you find it sibilant? I noticed a couple of "sss" and i'm not treble sensitive.

How did you make the detachable cable mod on your AHD2000?
