IEM for metal music and hard rock - ultimate solution

Thanks for detailed reply. Yes library and tuning preference plays a big part. Undoubtedly ej07m is upgrade over S8F so as Monarch and Mest.... But I still love it. I on the other hand like V shape and I'm not particularly treble sensitive. S8F was never fatiguing for me both in sound or fit...

IEM for metal music and hard rock - ultimate solution

You are referring to S8F? Would you compare these 2 in more detail please. I recently got Mest MKII, and even though I'm generally satisfied with it, mids are a bit recessed for my liking and treble can be too much sometimes, occasional sibilance and piercing cymbals can occur. Monarch OG is...

How? Please explain. Not sarcastic, just genuinely interested.

I'm the only one who will say this probably... If you are buying cable go with the first one, I mean Monarch OG cable, original not with updated connectors. And certianly not with the MKII cable. - MKII cable - too hard and too bulky, especially too hard at earhooks what affects fit negatively...

Ok this is going to be just my pillled up thoughts after 15 days since I received MKII, I didn't bother with burn in I just plugged them in straight. Whatever change happens if any it will be very minimal. First I tried stock S blue heart silicones and Xelastecs S deep insertion but both gave me...

IEM for metal music and hard rock - ultimate solution

I have to say Mest MKII is a beast for metal, what is expected given the price. Price aside, it's realy well tuned, timbre and technicalities are awesome. The only negative about MKII is that it's very tip dependant, not every tip works well, it needs a lot of tip rolling. And for my personal...

Better late than never. I just picked it up, and I won't have time to play with it until tomorrow. I guess it's a good problem to have.

IEM for metal music and hard rock - ultimate solution

Yes you are right this is internet.......... Actually my nr1 is Monarch OG for number of reasons... But for fast technical metal i still prefer S8F. And honestly with those 2 I have my endgame, if I never get to hear anything better it would be totally fine. And price is not always indicator of...

IEM for metal music and hard rock - ultimate solution

@blotmouse Hmmmm, I was considering Mest II 2-3 times since it's release I just didn't find anyone mentioning faster Metal and Mest II in the same sentence. Any thoughts? I'm not much for extreme genres but prog, power, trash, melodic death oh yes please. Most probably I'm getting it with...

    The Qudelix-5K thread

Yes you are right I totally forgot to check my other Android device. Apparently it was some kind of issue with my phones Bluetooth settings. Namely only SBC codec could be used with any BT device, later i tried other 2 ES100 and BTR5, they had the same issue. I didn't use BT in a long time so...

    The Qudelix-5K thread

I need help, and I apologize if this has been discussed before. I just got 5k, I updated the firmware to 1.12.1 It automatically connect to SBC codec (mandatory) I have no way of changing it to LDAC. Even if I change it it still says SBC. In the devaloper settings in Android also says SBC...

    ThieAudio Signature Series Tribrid IEMs

I was there bro. I have medium sized ears, Monarch OG is a little bit tight but I don't feel it after few minutes, very similar how CIEM fits. While on MKII insertion is shallow and as soon as I move my head seal is broken. Unlucky I guess.

Yup, exactly my thoughts. I don't listen to Rap but EDM and Synthwave are amazing with OG. I use Neutron PEQ for litlle more mid bass. And the best thing is all the other genres are not affected by that sub bass, everything sounds great. And that's (one of the reasons) why I sold my MKII
