Are the Caldera Closed pads thick? I'd love to see some Caldera Thick variants - ultra perf lambskin and a suede/lamb hybrid would be sweet - particularly for other headphones (Tungsten DS and Atrium Closed, for example).

Has anyone used the T71 for virtual surround on headphones with games? I'm thinking of pairing it with a Steam Deck and my Aeon 2 Noire headphones for a portable gaming solution. Already have the 5K and love it but interested in the virtual surround possibility with the T71.

Would the Vali 3 offer a "tubier" sound when pad rolling than the Vali 2++? I've currently got a 5670 5-star in a Vali 2++ and enjoy it quite a bit. I also have a Gold Lion via an adapter but prefer the 5670. What more would the Vali 3 bring to the table sonically versus the Vali 2++?

The Eikon(ic) looks beautiful. But where would it fit in a collection that already has the Atrium Closed? Anything unique, different, or better about the Eikon(ic) versus the AC to warrant a spot in the lineup?

Sounds like I got a Jot2 with a bad pot. I've emailed Schiit and hope to swap out the unit since it's within the return window. In the meantime, I absolutely love the amp. But the headphones I've been having the most fun with the Jot2 might surprise you — not ZMF, Dan Clark Audio, or Focal...

If you own a Sys, how does your volume pot behave? Mine makes almost no audible difference in volume after around 9 o'clock; maybe adds 1 or 2 db after that. But before around 9 o'clock, the volume drops precipitously (~98 percent of the volume change is packed into the range of 7 to 9 o'clock).

Anyone have noticeable channel imbalance on their Jotunheim 2? Mine pushes audio about two hours to the right with the knob below ~11 o'clock. After that, it evens out. My Midgard has practically zero imbalance even down past 9 o'clock, and my Vali 2++ has minor imbalance until around 9 o'clock.

I'm considering a Bifrost 2 and would be upgrading from a JDS Labs Element III. How significant of an upgrade would a BF2 be from the Element III? Additionally, does the Bifrost 2 show in Windows as a 2-channel or 5.1/7.1 device?

To clarify my question, I meant a more affordable ZMF planar. 😀 ZMF has a range of dynamics, and I'd love to see a ZMF planar down in the Bokeh to Auteur Classic price range.
