Empire Ears - Discussion & Impressions (Formerly EarWerkz)
I heard the Raven on the 1ZM2 recently and liked it. However after switching back to my R8II I felt it gave a bit more of everything you probably like about the raven. Really good synergy imo. It has a little more crispness and soundstage to my ears especially with turbo and medium gain. But...- Silverlinings

Ok. I found a lot of wide bore tips a tiny bit fatiguing in the upper mids or treble. Keep in mind I’m using the ravens with the R8II which is a brighter dap imo. But the AET07’s are on order so we shall see.- Silverlinings

Just ordered the AET07’s and velvets. We will see if I like them. It will probably take 5-7 days to get them.- Silverlinings

Empire Ears - Discussion & Impressions (Formerly EarWerkz)
I tried the dc elite yesterday and loved the sound. I used it out of the Hiby R8II. The only issue I had was the volume. I felt one notch was too low and the next one up was just a little too loud. Shame bc it sounded great. I tried it out of my friends Sony ZM2 and felt the volume control was a...- Silverlinings

Still prefer the cp145’s. The Omni’s were a pain to even get on. However they did sound pretty good. And the origin’s weren’t bad either but a tiny bit fatiguing in the treble/mids region with decent volume. I believe that the 145s give the warmest bass with still good detail, so for now those...- Silverlinings

Pictures of Your Portable Rig (part XVI)
Not the best pic but here it goes lol Raven and Hiby R8II And a link to a phenomenal live album that has great bass that’s not hip hop, electronic, or R&B. Great musicians…- Silverlinings

HiBy R8 II - HiBy's New High-End DAP
Yeah I can imagine with electronic, r&b, and some of the genres above the mentor would be great. I listen to a decent amount of jazz and the mentors were great with that. I also think the raven would be great with hip hop as well. Jazz is also very good on it bc of the bass aspect. Either way...- Silverlinings

HiBy R8 II - HiBy's New High-End DAP
I listen to mostly metal and prog metal. So, with those genres it does great. I owned mentor for over a year and even though the soundstage was incredible I found it too much with metal. It lacked a little “cohesiveness” and sounded a little diffused to me. Plus there was some fatigue with...- Silverlinings

It did have very good synergy with the Mentors. With the Raven it’s another level so far 🔥🎸- Silverlinings
