Does the local DAC do a PCM conversion first before final conversion to analog? Or DSD straight to analog?

That's what I have been doing for almost 20 years.  So far, I haven't purchased any headphones over $100.00, although I'm very tempted to push the limited with the discounted AQ Nighthawk.

You can buy a Cantonese or Mandarin SACD.

  Then you need some K2 CD to play on 'em machines....
