Exceptional in Every Detail: Say Hello to the IE 600

I can get a seal with the stock silicone tips, but I find it inconsistent. I found that if I just push the IEMs into my ears as I usually do they don't seal, I need to pull them back out slightly and then they work, but sometimes this will create a weird effect were I get a muddy boomy sound...

Exceptional in Every Detail: Say Hello to the IE 600

Yes I generally find that I use larger tips on shorter nozzles and smaller tips on longer nozzles, but a longer tip will go deeper into my ear and help an insecurely fitting earphone. The shell of the IE 600 is barely touching my pinna, the bent back part stands proud of my concha, so it's...

Cayin RU7: 1-Bit Resistor Network Dongle DAC /Amp

No I don't have Roon. I mostly use USB Audio Player Pro with a Samsung A53, no clicks. I occasionally use an iPad, I don't recall any clicking with that either. I usually listen to albums though, so sample rate changes are infrequent. When I first got the RU7 I used balanced line out with a...

Exceptional in Every Detail: Say Hello to the IE 600

Yeah, I found that Final type E tips help because they have quite a long tube

Cayin RU7: 1-Bit Resistor Network Dongle DAC /Amp

I have had absolutely no trouble with my RU7, none of the noises which some people seem to think are par for the course, and no connection difficulties, other than the fact that half of my lightning to USB C cables don’t work, and there is no need for me to repeat that mistake. I don't want to...

Exceptional in Every Detail: Say Hello to the IE 600

I am also a new IE 600 owner, and I totally see where you are coming from with this comparison to Naim, they definitely have an 'exciting' sound. While I enjoy my friend's Nairn system when I hear it, I wouldn't choose to have one in my house (I have a Pass Labs amp), the great thing about IEMs...

    XDUoo XD05PRO

I get hiss with the stock opamps, when using my most sensitive IEMs, as well.

To really enjoy EQ you should just listen to sweeps and pink noise, music just confuses things

USB Audio Player PRO (UAPP): 24- and 32-bit playback, ubiquitous USB audio support for Android

How to you stream over wi-fi when the phone is in aeroplane mode? I use a similar set up in my bedroom system and I'm interested in optimising the old phone I use there.

    The Qudelix-5K thread

The 5K has plenty of gain for the HD 650, I don't need to use the high voltage mode. It doesn't sound as good as a desktop amp, but with EQ (bass boost, or the preloaded HD 650 settings) I'm happy with the results. The sound is disappointingly limp without EQ though.

    Gustard H16

Yes, if you want to use this with IEMs, some way of lowering the gain would be useful. Maybe using the RCA inputs would be better than the XLR I'm using. I tend to listen to IEMs with portable gear, and my H16 is for circumaural headphones and active speakers, so it's not a problem I've been...

    The Qudelix-5K thread

I fitted this beyerdynamic Custom One Pro headband cushion because the paint was flaking off my elderly Sennheiser HD650. Most of this 2.5mm cable can be folded up underneath the cushion's flap. The 5K clips on to a velcro strap.
