HiFiMan Susvara
Someone said it looks like a trashcan but it looks more like a cheap Chinese knockoff of a real Susvara lol- TheAbyss2022

Agreed, the brown pads just don't look nice in contrast with the colour of the chassis. Am I correct in saying that it comes with a cover to put and take off the side of the driver? very much a hassle if true.- TheAbyss2022

If enough people put Susvara on the used market it will over saturate the market creating competition and resulting in people lowering prices to sell them quicker.- TheAbyss2022

I was hoping for a more power efficient version but looks like it will be just as hard to drive unfortunately.- TheAbyss2022

Ok makes more sense so just over 6 thousand pounds for this new version. I wonder if they will make the old version going forward and if there will be a price cut.- TheAbyss2022

The Sennheiser HE1 and how I came back after 16 years hiatus from Headfi (acquisition, unboxing, installation, and impressions over time)
If I am correct the price to replace the tubes on the HE1 is over $1000 which isn't too bad for 8 matched tubes. Are you going to be tube rolling?- TheAbyss2022

Cayin HA-3A, a Compact 6V6s Transformer-coupled Tube Amplifier
You won't get any background noise with the Empyrean as I had the original and it was dead silent like every other planar headphone I have tried with the amp. The only background noise will come from dynamic driver headphones but the Focal Utopia has very low background noise so still very good...- TheAbyss2022

Audeze LCD-4
I know that was a big mistake since the LCD 5 is quite a boring listen and a big departure from the Audeze house sound. Expect an LCD 6 in a few years lol.- TheAbyss2022

I did borrow the 2022 Utopia a few weeks ago and from memory the technical performance was better. I could hear leading edges of instruments on the new Utopia and not on the OG model. The bass seemed more pronounced on the new one and a bit more holographic in presentation but I will confirm my...- TheAbyss2022

I would look at the LCD 4Z over the LCD 3 as it still has better bass impact, detail and overall technical performance.- TheAbyss2022
