    Single Dynamic Driver Lovers Discussion

I have the FD7 and yet to hear the Turii but have seen a direct comparison between both. FD7 scales amazingly with high quality sources.

You can also add the FD7. Compares favorably to the Turii in terms of resolution and is a mature tuning.

[FiiO FD7/FDX] 12mm dynamic driver with its diaphragm using pure beryllium, with an outer-magnet field, up to 1.5 Tesla magnetic flux.

It's surprising to hear that the ie900 is at par with the FD7 at more than double the price point. Chickenmoon gave a short impression of the Turii vs the FD7. Crinacle favours the Turii to the ie900. So, it should be ie900 <= FD7 <= Turii. A level playing field with the big DD boys.

Did anyone get a chance to compare the FD7 with the Zen Pro? Early impressions of the Zen Pro look promising though.

HIFIMAN Arya - Arya Stealth - Arya Organic :: Impressions Thread

I did try the Arya V2 with the H1. The sound is amazing to be honest but I much prefer the low impedance cans like the Arya with a proper Class A amp and it sounds fuller and wider. I prefer the Honey H1 with high impedance dynamic cans like the HD650 and IEMs. The 650 out of the Honey sounds...

Guys, the FD7 at 210 hours is freaking amazing! The imaging is so precise, it is competing with the Arya but is more enjoyable and natural sounding. It pairs better with the H1 than the Conductor 3XP, not surprising because the H1 is one hell of a DAC Amp, the layering is something I am in awe...

[FiiO FD7/FDX] 12mm dynamic driver with its diaphragm using pure beryllium, with an outer-magnet field, up to 1.5 Tesla magnetic flux.

So, the FD7 has started to open up at 35 hours. Sounds jaw droppingly good with the Honey H1. Better than the Arya in timbre and tonality. Images like a god and sounds like an open back, even deeper and wider than the FD5. The mids have a lushness that's rare and golden. This is totl stuff at a...

Received my unit today. Too early to make an opinion, but the sound is so smooth and more detailed compared to the FD5. A definite improvement in the timbre, the bass will need some time to settle down as I found it to be a bit fuller than tighter. Will listen to it in between with the Honey H1...
