Darkvoice 336i & 336SE Tuberolling PartII
Indeed sound fading gradually could be due to the power tube failure 👍- HTSkywalker

The DV produce excessive heat especially if left on for long hours. 10-12 hours daily is not a regular practice for any non industrial component especially when not well ventilated or in a hot climate.- HTSkywalker

True as the Focal Elear & Utopia with 80 Ohms pair nicely with the BHC and the DV but still not at its best, 250+ Ohms cans are your way to go. The Sennheiser HD 600 is one of the best sounding cans with tube amps.- HTSkywalker

The BHC can even be turned on without any load attached to it so it's safe to give the K712 a spin.- HTSkywalker

True and it’s case and existing hardware dependent. At some point o was playing Flacs and DSF music from a MacBook using JRiver and the sound was astonishing but not applicable across the board from vinyl players and CD. Besides the transparency of the Lokius is phenomenal.- HTSkywalker

Agree but when you use CDs or Turntables and you want to add EQ without a PC or a Laptop using high quality balanced cables then Hardware EQ is the way to go IMHO.- HTSkywalker

I would still recommend a Lokius which will tweak any headphone to your liking, you can still change pads though - HTSkywalker

Wow this is impressive, @bcowen is in luck being on the receiving side of your artwork (The sideway Incubus and now the rack). :xf_cool: There is some magical attraction in every well finished wood piece.- HTSkywalker

I would recommend the Elise (Freq response 10Hz-60Khz) if budget allows as the Echo 2 (15Hz-45Khz) sound signature is so clean and very close to Solid States- HTSkywalker

That's the thing about equalizers, never start a music hearing session with them if you plan to switch to un-equalized at some point. But to be fair, pure audio will always have its magic once driven through good components.- HTSkywalker
