Is the EF-5 a good amp for these cans? I heard it with the HE-5 years ago and loved it but he HE-500 is easier to find nowadays.

  Actually my R-50 was brutalized by a washing machine and dryer....   The VC1000 has a driver that died.... I liked their sound a bit more than the more aggressive R-50.
