Grado Fan Club!
They are really that big. Really warm ear muffs! I don't use them much, they make much bass, soft, very bassy sound.- labrat

Chord Mojo Interference/USB noises
Sorry, I can not find it! It was a cheap , Chinese made cable, and it has not given me any noise problems! I never made an OTG USB cable by myself, only line signal cables, and never had any sounds / whining heard from the connected amplifiers. But I know many had, and many misinformation given...- labrat

Chord Mojo Interference/USB noises
I have made my own cables always. Always very precarious making a proper grounded cable, and have never had any of these problems! I made the very first cable here from the iPod to the external battery powered amplifier, and never experience any problems, noise or otherwise! and this cable is...- labrat

I am using Firefox browser, and there are many extentions to add, to download music and movies from all over the Internet! I have only a CD-player in my car, no USB attachment to the player (and not available to buy and install either!). I download, change format, and burn out to CD's. Works... -

Headphone / Amp Advice
I have not tried any of those 2 headphones, so can not specifically say anything about them. But I have tried the 600, and the 650, and they were too soft, will not say muddy, but soft/without details, boring. Even with good amplifier! So if you like a bit of sharpness, details, clarity and...- labrat

Subwoofer to boost bass in small cheap speakers
How would you connect it? Do you have an amplifier with several line outs? Or a sub out? This sub will require either a separate sub-connector out from the amplifier, or double sets of hi-level (speakers) outs. This sub has no connectors to connect your speakers from the sub.- labrat

Subwoofer to boost bass in small cheap speakers
Try this one: https://newatlas.com/elac-shows-of-worlds-smallest-subwoofer--probably/9878/ You can get the subwoofer/central unit only, most small satellites will work with it. Not cheap! But great sound on a desktop setup. I have mine just set up behind the screen, some miniature SONY...- labrat

Who Here Is Still Using HeadRoom Amps/DACs?
Still using the set I got from the early, limited offer from HeadRoom : the HeadRoom Coda & Overture. It was HeadRooms entry into the digital realm (apart from the Total BitHead!) , now connected to my desktop and a Beyerdynamic DT880. Still happy with it, running mains powered , not battery...- labrat

Is HISS normal?
Well, good luck. You never know what you're gonna get! with such cheap items! I have a couple of RSA amps, one without a DAC, one with. Had one of his first, many years ago, without a DAC. But sadly, I lost that one. Very nice sound from RSA units generally. And so small, very portable! I did...- labrat

Is HISS normal?
From your laptop, sound maybe not too "sparkling" or full of energy? A cheap amplifier seldom makes the sound better than the original sound, maybe a bit louder. And in your case, also ads hiss! A better amplifier would probably improve your sound a bit, without hiss! Look for a used Ray Samuels...- labrat

What signal source? What amplifier? What IEMs ? Maybe a better amp will help you? Do you get the hiss if your IEMs is connected to the signal source without the external amplifier?- labrat

usb powered dac/amp as good as mojo
The Mojo is not USB powered. If you want something small, powered (rechargeable) , amplifier only, look for a Ray Samuels P-51 mustang. It is as nice sounding as a Mojo! Smaller! The Predator is good too, a bit "drier" in sound, with a DAC. If you can find, and is good without a DAC, find a Xin...- labrat

Small portable amp recommendation for a noob
I know some sites had them on sale for USD 20 some time ago. For US addresses only! I got mine for USD 50 with shipping included, and was happy about that price. The price Brookstone was selling them for while they were still in production was closer to USD 200! So to say the eBay price of USD...- labrat

Small portable amp recommendation for a noob
Brookstone has discontinued this item. Some companies had low price sellouts. What is available now seems to be last minute items found in a drawer or like. To say eBay has "premium price" is not vey accurate! You want it free?- labrat
