Hello Todd im after Grado Flat Pads
Just received the Grado flat pads today. Believe it or not, I'm using them right now with my low budget Grado 60i's! Big improvement in the sound using the flat pads over the stock 'comfy' pads. Well worth the $35 plus shipping to 'upgrade' my phones! Thanks- itza2mer

The GRADO SR-60 Impressions Thread
Just bought some TTVJ flat pads for my Grado SR-60i's (Which I bought 2 weeks ago). I know it's overkill price wise I suppose, but man what a huge sonic improvement over the comfy pads! Best way to describe it is, music now sounds larger than life! I think I finally see what the fuss for Grado...- itza2mer

++ FULL-SIZE HEADPHONE RECOMMENDATIONS THREAD++ CLOSED: Please post a thread in the Introductions, Help and Advice forum
Was thinking of buying a portable amp for my Grado 60i phones, now leaning toward a vintage amp/receiver. Any recommendations for a vintage amp/receiver that match up with great with Grado cans would be welcome. Need to keep the price in the $100 bucks range tops. Thanks- itza2mer

Haven't been here in years, too lazy to look it up (Place has really grown) so I'll post here. Looking for a sub-$100 amp to match up with my newly required GRADO 60i phones. Also, should I try out the $35 buck pads Todd The Vinyl Junkie sells? Thanks- itza2mer

Need help finding a driver for a pair of KOSS PRO 4AAA
Okay, I just have THREE series 1 drivers, and TWO series 3 drivers from Black 4AAA's, no series 2 or 4. I'll post photos in a couple days, I was buying up 4AAA's on eBay thru the years, and had to sell the best of the bunch years later. Hence, the spare drivers.- itza2mer

Need help finding a driver for a pair of KOSS PRO 4AAA
I'm thinking of selling off some spare 4AAA drivers in near future, mainly series 1, some series 2. Never knew the 'series' thing before, know I know why some looked different, but sounded the same.- itza2mer

Koss Pro/4AAA - 70's vintage cans
Made prototype earpads, but have one main bug to work out. Earpads are comfortable (more than stock), but materials I used for earpads doesn't let the earpads stick to the phones. I'll figure it out- itza2mer

Koss Pro/4AAA - 70's vintage cans
Okay, got the basic supplies delivered to me today. Will make test pads from molds next couple days. Looking at the supplies I just received, I'm probably gonna have to charge more than the $5 that Koss used to sell their pads for. However, I don't want to price gouge. For now, I'm looking at...- itza2mer

Koss Pro/4AAA - 70's vintage cans
Yeah, the build and quality went downhill on Koss phones starting in the early-mid 80's thru the 90's. From what I've read, the company lost focus of what made them big in the first place, quality headphones. They expanded and branched out into other audio equiptment areas, but sales were bad...- itza2mer

Koss Pro/4AAA - 70's vintage cans
Vort3xxX darn shame about the 4AAA dying on you back in the day. Were they the brown ones, or the black ones? For the most part, they used different drivers. I've dropped my 4AAA several times, and they still work fine. gubes42, too soon to tell how much I'll sell them for, have to figure out...- itza2mer

Koss Pro/4AAA - 70's vintage cans
Ordered supplies to make earpads, should have a 'prototype' in a week or 2. I'm going for seal and fit first. Comfort is the tricky part, then again the original pads aren't that comfy. Maybe I can improve on that, but the seal is the important part. Need a good seal around the ears for the bass...- itza2mer

Koss Pro/4AAA - 70's vintage cans
Soon as I get the supplies, and I find the right combo for fit, seal, comfort, and sound, I'll start making up some custom earpads for the 4AAA's. Could be 3-4 more weeks, but I need to get going on this. For now, car repairs come first! I'll update when I make some progress on the earpad front...- itza2mer

Koss Pro/4aa and Pro/4AAA
Koss changed the drivers for the 4aaa's toward the end of their run. Not sure of the ohm, but the black 4aaa are more easily driven than the tan 4aaa.- itza2mer

Right side earcup removal: Left side, a bit trickier to remove. I used a very thin plastic card to help 'pry' the cup off:- itza2mer

Koss Pro/4AAA
Arma, are you trying to figure out how to get access to the inside wiring to the drivers? If so, the outside cups just snap into place. If I can get access to photos (I'll have to dig around) I have taken, it shows how to pry the outer cups out so you can get access to the driver wiring.- itza2mer

Koss Pro 4AAA Best year?
Just got a later model with really good original pads in perfect shape, WOW! Not sure if are the 80 or 81 models, however they are the ones where they swtched the color to black Edit: I think my excitement came from the fact that the later 4AAA have more sensitive drivers that are easier...- itza2mer

Echo Mia level settings
Just bought a used older Echo Mia (no MIDI) for my Win XP computer. I'm wondering if any other owners of this card have any suggestions on the best level settings to use. I'm using the Analog output to my old Scott tube amp. Here's a screen capture of my current settings; any tips or suggestions...- itza2mer

Need to recable a pair of Koss headphones...
Photos. Cups snap into place, left cup tricker to remove than right cup. Right cup, grip like I did, stick thumb under knob, pull up and slighty forward. Comes off easy. Left side, wedge a thin piece of plastic (thinner than a credit card). Gently work around edges to create larger gap. Cup...- itza2mer
