Mad Lust Envy's Headphone Gaming Guide: (8/18/2022: iFi GO Blu Review Added)
Been waiting since the Soundblaster Recon3D for them to implement game/chat balance controls in a future USB soundcard of theirs. How is the G5 compared with the G6? Don't have the G6 on the Australian Creative store sadly.- Yunho

I get where you're coming from MassEffectFan. For me though, I'm okay with taking a potential hit to overall sound quality using devices such as the Astro Mixamp or Gamedac (or even gaming headsets) due to the convenience of having a simple setup. That and features such as game audio and chat...- Yunho

Mad Lust Envy's Headphone Gaming Guide: (8/18/2022: iFi GO Blu Review Added)
The lineout is pretty bad from my experience. I tried it for a day with my powered monitors and I had to crank the volume on them up to the point where I was hearing hiss on Twitch streams. The weak lineout and it not being immune to picking up interference from a (launch) PS4's usb ports when...- Yunho

Mad Lust Envy's Headphone Gaming Guide: (8/18/2022: iFi GO Blu Review Added)
The VSS it uses is a newer iteration of DTS X Headphone. It's different to Dolby Headphone (however this device doesn't decode DTS signals). It sounds dramatically better than the iteration used in the Turtle Beach TAC if anyone here has tried that device. The VSS on that device made games...- Yunho

Mad Lust Envy's Headphone Gaming Guide: (8/18/2022: iFi GO Blu Review Added)
It comes with a dongle/adapter which supports mic input. You'll have to use an adapter like the Sennheiser PCV05 if you have a headset/setup has seperate outputs/inputs. It's on sale at Steelseries for 75USD due to Black Friday/Cyber Monday if you login to an account. Which is why I have one lol.- Yunho

You should see if you can get your hands on the (standalone) Steelseries GameDAC. I've only had mine for two days but I've been pleasantly surprised at how good it is. I've owned the following USB soundcards/mixamps for use with my PS4 for reference Turtle Beach TAC Creative Recon3D USB Astro...- Yunho

Hearing Safety and Ear Health Thread (a diary of a ear health noob)
For me, pretty much. I guess they sorta act like organic earplugs in a way (lol). After this next session though, I'm expecting my hearing to be a bit more balanced. As for the past few months the (main) vocals in all of my music has noticeably favoured my right ear. Whether it was through...- Yunho

Great thread Baycode! (A+ on the formatting too ). Which reminds me. I think I'm way overdue for an appointment with my local ENT specialist/Doctor for some earwax removal ...- Yunho

New Zealand meet, May 24th in Auckland
The meet looked great! (based off my friend's photos). No regrets on spending the $10 though, as you gotta support the cause in some way! Also who had the sexy HP50s?- Yunho

New Zealand meet, May 24th in Auckland
Nice to hear you're enjoying your new cans (I remember your thread on GPForums). I hope I make it in time for the meet. Have a birthday function to attend earlier in the day and I'll be walking to the venue from Greenlane Train Station (lol). Looking forward to hearing impressions of the...- Yunho

Zero Audio - ZH-DX200 Carbo Tenore | ZH-DX210 Carbo Basso (Carbon & Aluminium IEM) thread
******* these are some pretty IEMs. I literally spent 20 minutes staring at them during a break lol. Oh and it helps that they sound pretty darn good too. Would happily recommend them to people looking for IEMs under $100. Back to tip rolling- Yunho

Audiophonic Gaming Headsphone / Microphone?
Hi there, I'd personally avoid the Turtle Beaches as they're better suited for console gamers. I don't believe your sound card offers Dolby Headphone or Creative's own stimulated surround sound tech for headphones? So maybe use software such as Razer Surround (I personally prefer this over...- Yunho

New Zealand meet, May 24th in Auckland
Nothing fancy. Just some of the more popular portable cans that have come out in recent years (KEF M500, V-Moda M80 etc). But yeah, can't wait to demo some new gear (being poor students and all) as well as meet some fellow head-fiers. Which is kinda rare in these woods.- Yunho

Needs help with deciding on new portable cans
Hey guys, I'm looking to buy a pair of portable headphones (not transportable ) in the upcoming month. I have a budget of roughly $250 USD. The headphones will mostly see use on my daily train commute to Uni (which usually last from 45 minutes - 1 hour). Requirements Durable...- Yunho

Quote: Ahh Lee Da Hae, it's been a while since she's been in anything decent imo. IRIS 2 is just ... 'secret agents' wearing Prada. Been listening to this girl's stuff heavily for the past few weeks. If only I had discovered her earlier . -

Call of Duty: Black Ops II
Oops, I meant the combat record in the original Black Ops. The barracks in MW3 only lets you view win/loss ratio, kill/death ratio, overall accuracy, accolades and the leaderboards for individual gametypes. The combat record in Black Ops allowed you see most of the stats you can view on...- Yunho

Call of Duty: Black Ops II
Loved the barracks in the original Black Ops, all the stats you could see <3 Don't know why Activision/Infinity Ward didn't implement Treyarch's version of barracks in MW3 ... Yes I know there's CoD Elite, but being able to check them in-game/pre lobby was much more convenient. MW3 is...- Yunho

The NEW JVC HA-S400. Affordable Carbon Nanotube cans for the masses.
Take back what I said about the mids a couple of days ago, I absolutely love them now. I like female vocals on these as much as I did when I had a pair of Shure 840s.- Yunho
