You should post to @syr1990 I don't use them, just trying to help out.

If you search for "Etsy Schiit Audio stack spacer" you'll see multiple options for silver and black. It was mentioned earlier in this thread, but easier just to search the 'Net. You could omit "Etsy" too, I reckon.

Ah, gear lust. It's a beautiful thing ⚙️ I was reading about the Midgard last night after you mentioned it. Were you running it in Halo mode, and balanced in from the Modius E, and balanced out to the cans? I assume so, but figured I'd ask. It's an interesting experiment by Jason...

Yeah, just realized I was reading the specs wrong. I would say it's not a good idea then, as Schiit always said rolling tubes not specifically designed for any of the Lyr models was fine, as long as you didn't exceed the heater current limitation. So the Lyr OG could handle tubes the Lyr 2 could...

This page http://www.r-type.org/exhib/aad0139.htm says it's "Sensibly equivalent" to a 6SN7GT http://www.r-type.org/exhib/aaa0072.htm but I'm not sure about the heater current.

I have the Arya Stealth model and find it gets plenty loud at 1-2 o'clock with a modern mastering of "rock" music, and rarely do I push any recording past 2 o'clock. These specs from the HFM site caught my eye, though: Arya Impedance : 35 Ohms Sensitivity : 90db Arya Stealth Magnets Impedance...

I've had mine for ~13 months and no problems. 99%+ of the time I run it with a tube. I've rolled quite a few so far (not often a 6SN7; ECC82s lately), and no problems. It rarely gets warm to the touch; much cooler than the Lyr OG (only distant cousins in terms of design).

[TO ALL SCHIIT BIFROST USERS] How To Fix Driver Installation Issue in Windows 7

I know this thread is really old, but the title is perfect, so why reinvent the wheel. After a power outage (only 2 hours), the Bifrost 1 (multibit upgrade; returned once for a USB issue) refused to be recognized by either of two Windows 7 Ultimate x64 PCs it had been running on. After going...

Question re: the clicking while adjusting the volume. Before yours developed that problem there was no clicking at all when adjusting the volume; i.e., it was a smooth transition? Did the volume adjustment still work after the problem surfaced, before the firmware upgrade? Mine has had the...

This schiit has nothing to do with Schiit, so I'll attempt to bring it back around with a Bonus Round: what is the proper pronunciation of "short-lived"? I daresay it's not how one usually hears it, and sadly, regardless of how one pronounces it, the meaning applies to a fair few Lyr+ for...

Pretty sure the point is that most Lyr+ purchased from roughly last November on are likely going to have problems. But yeah, I purchased mine on Oct. 14th and share your experience. I think I'll go melt my brain right now! ... and then listen to some music ;-)

You nailed it. Going from the Lyr OG to the Lyr+ with the Arya SE (95% head time) was exceptional enough to stop me buying the HE-1000 v2 at its recent sale price, even though I was given the green light.

I don't mean to get all conspiratorial ... OK, I do. Jason may want to consider the possibility, remote though it may seem, that this is a case of industrial... SABOTAGE! Fortunately, I first fired up my Lyr+ on 2022.10.21 with a 1953 Foton 6N8S. Knocking on a redwood, no problems with...

As someone who learned Quality Assurance from a guy who studied with Joeseph Juran, I can say you're spot on. I did it for a few years in the IT/software biz, and I'm sure you'll be shocked to hear that I came out on the losing end every time the tough decision had to be made. That said, we...

As far as remote sensitivity goes, I wonder if teaching a learning remote the Schiity volume buttons would help? I'll try with a URC RF20 when I get some time.

Definitely sounds like misalignment, esp. if the other buttons are misaligned. The IR receiver is in the hole to the left of the Input 1 button. Don't think this is referenced in the manual.

I just checked mine in Solid State mode, no music, volume max'd: same noise as with tube. Inaudible before I've dialed it back to 3 PM. Now I have to give SS mode a little more head time.

    Schiit Lyr+ : Impressions Thread

Yes, all the reports are a little disconcerting. I chalked mine up to "could be the tubes". I could elicit a lot of tube noise on the Lyr OG, though that depends on the tube(s). I did not get a tube from Schiit, as I didn't need one. I'll have to test in SS mode. One odd thing I noted was...

    Schiit Lyr+ : Impressions Thread

Mine in tube mode is not dead silent at max, but only a small turn counter-clockwise eliminates the noise, and that's far more volume than I would ever use. Mine is fed by an old Bifrost with Multibit upgrade, which gets its noise via USB (passed through a WYRD). Haven't tested this in SS...

Not saying this would solve your ground loop problems, but I added this to get rid of Y splitters. Combined with my Schiit SYS (working in reverse), I've got 3 amps available, and 4 sources (SYS splits the Bifrost signal, which it gets from one of the outputs of this unit, sending it to Lyr+...
