My GSX1200 and PC38X together need a little more volume
Wow! Thanks for leading more towards Schiit's products. I started doing a lil' research for them and found this Zeos video where he specifically mentions recommending the Shiit Magni Heresy to someone who was complaining about the GSX1000 not having enough volume. Z did admit he recommended it...- MrDowntempo

My GSX1200 and PC38X together need a little more volume
LOL, Fair enuff! I could probably go for something in between. Actually... instead of the Asgard 3, wouldn't one of Shiit's headphone amps without the DAC and stuff be a better option? Like their Magni or Vali be a better option for me?- MrDowntempo

My GSX1200 and PC38X together need a little more volume
Why that one specifically? I'm a little suspicious of one that requires the purchase of a 3rd party power adapter.- MrDowntempo

My GSX1200 and PC38X together need a little more volume
Maybe the computer audio forum is where this goes since it's primarily about that but... well lemme explain. I've got the Sennheiser PC38X for use on my PC. They're known to be not very difficult to drive, but I wanted at least a little more juice than my motherboard could produce. I ended up...- MrDowntempo

Need more durable custom v-moda boom mic replacement.
I have modded SHP9500S with Mr Speaker's pads and ModHouseAudio cups. I've been using the v-moda Boom Mic which has been nice, but is already starting to wear out in some of the joints. (I use these headphones a lot every day at home and at work. I sometimes travel with them too.) I'd like to...- MrDowntempo

Looking for some ultra inexpensive earbuds mentioned here a long while back
It was mentioned in a thread here months ago, but I can't find it. I'm looking for a pair of earbuds that are really really really cheap but hold up well against many ~$100 earbuds. When I say cheap I mean like sub $10. The thread's author mentioned buying a pairs for gifts if I remember rights...- MrDowntempo

Need help adapting some Bose 3-2-1 speakers
I had the original bose 3-2-1 system. It was pretty nice, and sounded great but the audio was on a delay unless you fed the video through the receiver and this was pre-HDMI days. Anywho the subwoofer finally blew. I got my use out of it, but what I'd like to do is convert the 2 speakers it came...- MrDowntempo

Are there any non-android media players that provide USB audio out? Not including iphones with a LOD that is.- MrDowntempo

Where to find additional 24 bit 96khz media?
I've recently discovered hdtracks and like them a lot but their selection is a bit slim. Where else can I find media in 24 bit 96khz? Preferably on a budget. The only other tracks I have that quality are from NIN and Radiohead when they sold some albums online in real high quality. Any other...- MrDowntempo

What portable sources can go USB out to a DAC?
Interesting about power. I've got a portable battery and a powered USB hub. Seems like a bit of overkill portability wise but I'll play with it and see if it makes a difference. I'll give the powered hub a shot too when I'm at home with it. I won't be eligable for a new phone for a while...- MrDowntempo

What portable sources can go USB out to a DAC?
I have a JDS Labs ODAC which sounds great hooked up to my PC. It's small enough to be very portable (especially since it operated off of USB power) but I don't have any portable device compatible with it. What portable devices support usb audio out so I can use it with my ODAC? I'm open minded...- MrDowntempo

Need advice for Headphone amp to pair with SE535s
Thanks for the response Thracian. I haven't read up much on the iBasso stuff. I'll have to take a look. I'm not using an LOD. I use an android phone as my media player, so right now I'm listening straight out of the headphone jack and/or using my Fred_fred_2004 amp. I have a JDSLabs ODAC which...- MrDowntempo

Need advice for Headphone amp to pair with SE535s
I've been reading a lot of amp comparisons and reviews here and elsewhere. I'm looking for an amp to pair with my Shure 535SE IEMs. A lot of the shoot offs group amps by budget under $100 or $200 or $300 and up. This makes it hard to find comaprisons of amps on opposite sides of the price...- MrDowntempo

Need a bluetooth mic solution so I can use my IEMs with my phone.
My portable setup just a pair of IEMs and my phone right now. I've ordered a portable amp and interconnect too. I use my phone as my portable audio device, but I also use it as a phone of course. I'd don't want to have to take my IEMs out and unplug them so I can take a call. Is there a...- MrDowntempo
