I agree with this. I changed to the 650 cable when my original started to short out. The 650 cable is sturdier and actually cheaper than on original 600 cable.

I have them for my Lyr 1. They work great. I'm not sure how the noise levels would be with low impedance cans. I'm using HD600 HE400i and K240 Sextetts. They are a nice option when you don't always want to run glass.

What does your pc do then? No dac shows up until what happens?

So if you connect to your pc, does the dac show up as a playback device right away?

Any chance that you have a powered usb hub available? If you do, then try plugging your dac into that and feed the hub from the Lightning adapter.

Are you using the Apple Lightning to usb adapter?

That sure sounds like an issue with your phone. IOS 9 has worked solidly on my iPad air feeding the Bifrost Multibit.
