ZMF BOKEH - Closed Back (Semi-Portable)

The bokeh sounds wonderful on my train commute home. Only a couple of sideways looks and maybe a smirk but Snarky Puppy is always a pleasure and even more so through these.

ZMF BOKEH - Closed Back (Semi-Portable)

I've been wondering @betula , what are your thoughts so far on the bokeh?

ZMF BOKEH - Closed Back (Semi-Portable)

On the question of value, a small story. My family and friends think I'm crazy having multiple sets of headphones and generally think my hd650s and Nightowls are well too expensive. For my 40th I decided to invite friends to contribute to my bokehs as this will likely be the most I ever spend...

ZMF BOKEH - Closed Back (Semi-Portable)

Thanks for the great review and wonderful photos. Even through Google's translation it read really well, articulated some of my thoughts and got me even more intrigued on some of the tuning options, couldn't ask for more!

ZMF BOKEH - Closed Back (Semi-Portable)

Thanks, I almost went for a natural pair but these ones caught the light and have a bit of a sparkle that is pretty special. It's the first time with headphones I feel regret when they're on my head because I can't be looking at them :-)

    RØDE NTH-100 (new studio headphones)

Just thought it would be worth sharing my experience. So, I've picked up a pair of these for a crazy price on gumtree unopened. Out of the box I found them feeling a little muffled. With nothing to lose I pried the foam off behind the ear pads which opened them up a heap. Playing Zelda on...

List of headphones that have papery treble*

I found the sennheiser pxc550 to have quite papery treble, actually to be quite papery across the board

    Sennheiser HD650 & Massdrop HD6XX Impressions Thread

I'm always amazed at how smooth and effortless the mids are but alongside that how much detail it puts into rendering elements it should be weak at, taking into account all I've read over the years, eg cymbals. I've had treble rich headphones but I've often found cymbals becoming a tizzy mess...

The Closed-Back Headphone Thread (Plus Comparisons & Reviews)

This is without a doubt my favourite post I have read in a long while. Apart from sharing a lot of headphone history, even more I can relate to the satisfaction of sitting down with the blessing of the other half. My best advice is that you will know which way to go when you go through the...

Etymotic Research EVO impressions and discussion thread

Firstly, thanks to everyone who has written impressions so far, they have been really interesting reading. I have received and spent a couple of really nice moments with them (the Australian tour unit) but first came a bit of fiddling trying to achieve a good seal. None of the sizes really...

    Etymotic EVO: World Tour

I received the units today! Can't wait to really get into them over the next week. They are beautiful and I have been looking forward to trying a linum cable since I first saw them. I'll share my unconventional approach to getting a seal tomorrow but suffice to say I am having a fun time so...

Would I be able to hear the difference?

I have greatly enjoyed using old receivers with the senns (650 in my case). My 2c would be to be slow with your equipment upgrades and enjoy each stage. There are few audio magic bullets of sonic perfection so I am finding the enjoyment of the journey toward what I like or even trying...

    AudioQuest NightOwl - A closed-back NightHawk

Truly beautiful. One thing I re-learnt in this latest experience is that one of the great delights in a new headphone is going through your music and letting the headphone highlight it's strengths (something I greatly missed while trying to demo some headphones in store). Listening this...
