I didn't really hear a difference between the SU10 and the X26 Pro in my setup, everything is balanced using a Burson Soloist 3xp as the headphone amp and my PC as the source. Differences I thought I had noticed, I'd go back and listen again on the other dac and hear the same thing. I did...

Has anyone tried the iFi iPower Elite (granted it’s 2.5a @ 24v instead of 3a) or the iFi DC iPurifier2 with the Supercharger and did it make any difference with the noise floor? The Soloist 3xp is the first sub $2k headphone amp I’ve tried that doesn’t clip or shut off at my listening volumes...

I've got lots of headphones, but for me it was a long journey of finding an amp that didn't clip or shut down on my test playlist while listening at my usual volume (higher end of what's considered "safe") with the HE6SEv2.

I've had so many headphone amps now in the $2k or less range (singxer, schiit, topping, smsl, violectric, lake people, audio master, flux labs, etc). This is the first amp that doesn't clip or shutdown when driving my HE6SEv2 (one of my test songs makes this happen consistently with other amps)...

Bug fixes and performance update

How is the latency compared to the original or something like the bifrost 2? I had an original ares ii and had to return it due to noticable latency with any of the inputs when watching video or using it for gaming. Got a bifrost 2, and many other dacs now but miss the ares ii soundstage.

Is anyone able to successfully do the MCU firmware update? I can't get mine into the MCU update "mode" (unit on and connected via USB but screen off). USB firmware update went fine.

When level matched using an spl meter (I listen at 80db), I am hard pressed to tell any differences between Jot 2 SE and Asgard 3. The Asgard 3 is def twice as powerful as the Jot 2 SE. But other than that, blind tested and level matched, I couldn't tell a difference through multiple...

I was told they were currently closer to the 8 week mark. So I ended up ordering a b-stock with a module I didn't need for $100 more just to get it now.

Schiit's addin cards tend to only be 1.4v output, instead of the typical 2v on se, 4v on bal like all of their external dacs are.

I received a Bifrost 2 today that is currently paired with an Asgard 3... Would going Bifrost 2 > Jotunheim 2 Balanced or Bifrost 2 > Lyr 3 give anything over the Bifrost 2 > Asgard 3? If I went balanced with the Jotunheim 2 I'd also go balanced with the headphones (Nighthawk, SR2, OG Clear Pro).
