    Sabaj A20d 2022 Version ES9038Pro DAC

Sabaj A20d 2022 is $419 with the ES9038Pro, with LDAC Transmission, Balanced Out, MQA, USB-C input, AND it comes with a 1W Headphone Amp built in, all during a period of inflation on just about everything. I currently have the Gustard X16, and while I do like it, I was looking at the Sabaj A20d...

    Knowledge Zenith (KZ) impressions thread

I started this thread back in 2014. I was very new in my quest for IEMs out of China (Aliexpress, Taobao). I was finding what appeared to be great tech and deals mostly unknown outside of China. KZ (A1 I think?) was one of the first sets I received at a very low price and I thought, "Wow! This...

Edifier Headphones and Earphones (H850, H290... etc)

Another Asian brand that no one seems to know of here in the states is Edifier. I believe they recently bought Stax, and they have been in the speaker market for quite some time... yet there is no info on their headphones and earphones here on Head-Fi.   Here is a quick quote on the H850...  ...

    Somic MM163 : A $50 ATH-M50 alternative?

I got my Somic MM163 from China today, and I just realized something... it looks just like the M50 I got yesterday. I mean you can absolutely tell the inspiration was the M50.   Then it got me thinking... maybe it sounds like the M50 too? If it does, then $50 is a sweet deal for a good quality...

Chinese / Asian Brand Info Thread (Headphones, IEMs, Amps, DACs)

Many Chinese audio companies produce excellent quality equipment, and most of us in the US and in other places of the world know little about them. I'm hoping this thread becomes one easy place to come to for questions about these brands, as it is difficult to find info. Much of this info is...

    Rock-It Sounds R-Studio and R-DJ Headphones

Rock-It Sounds just recently released their R-Studio and R-DJ headphones. Based on the success and excellent sound provided by the R50 earphones, I had to give both of these a try.   I'll be updating with impressions over the coming week or two. Currently burning them in.   With the limited...

Cannice, Handream, & Rambotech (Anker, Audiosynq, Jaycar, Jaybird?, MeElectronics AF71 Air-fi, mWorks) Bluetooth 4.0 Apt-x Earphones/Headphones

Found an OEM while searching for good chinese headphones called Rambotech. These seem to be one of the first few good apt-x bluetooth (rechargeable) earphones with in-line controls. They also seem to be very similar to the $150 Jaybird Bluebird X and $90 MEEelectronics AF71.   Rambotech...

    Sades SA-907 2013 Virtual 7.1 USB headset

Just got this in from China the other day. I've been on a chinese headphone value hunt lately, and these have won me over. For ~$65 on ebay and aliexpress, they make an excellent sounding virtual 7.1 headset.   They have 50mm drivers, and I was able to set it to 32bit 96khz max in Windows 8...

    Noontec Hammo (reviews, impressions, etc)

The Hammo is the newest flagship headphone from the same company that made the Zoro line (Noontec). At first the Zoro headphones looked to be a cheap chinese knockoff of Beats, but Innerfidelty and CNET were able to show and measure that those headphones were in fact, very good headphones...

    Superlux HD386

Based on the price/performance ratio of previous Superlux models, I'm surprised there is no thread on these yet. They have a unique tilted fit that gets a great seal for me, and the sound is very balanced/neutral. Once EQ is applied toward the low end, it gives some rich, clear bass too.

Bluedio R+ Bluetooth 4.0 Headphones with NFC and APT-X

I recently purchased the new Monoprice "Premium Bluetooth" headset, and realized it is an OEM of Bluedio headphones. (www.bluedio.com)   The sound signature reminded me of my old Crossfade LPs a bit. Very nice bass, relaxed mids and highs, but clear. These look exactly like the older Beats...
