In your opinion, which dap has the best low frequency extension, sp2k or sp3k? I’m talking about how low the bass can go, not about the quantity of it.

DAR doesn’t have as deep bass and refined treble as standard playback does

This is gonna be another bad harsh sounding dap like 2000t,these models will never sound good like a flagship unit , they are tuning them to be inferior sounding and I had the sp2000t. I preferred the sa700. Now I have sp3000 and I am happy.

Yes, all firmware updates have sounded different. I could describe each one of them. The latest update, 1.20, is really good, even though I didn't like it at first. You should definitely update your device.
