Sony Z1R....listening impressions only
It's closer to the Z1R than both version of MDR Z7 is. All while being way smaller and more comfortable than Z1R and Z7 mk1&2s.- Sp12er3

.....and, I'm up for air!
Exactly? What are you misunderstanding on me here? Sony rarely release over 2k usd Headphones, just like every 15 years. Sennheiser updated their line from 600 to 800 took them 10 years, the s update another half decade. They took their time to release their product. IEMs these days is just...- Sp12er3

I never did gel with K702s, owned them for a solid 6 months, it always sound boring. Like everything is a tad muted, like in a studio environment. I seem to like headphones with more character to them.- Sp12er3

I never intend to be confrontational with you or anything, if you want me to be direct and say your signature is obnoxiously long, yes it is Obnoxiously Looong. What else I say is just an opinion of a guy not wanting to join a sinkhole that's buying IEMs. I've already been inside that hole 6...- Sp12er3

Sony Z1R....listening impressions only
MV1 is 30 grams lighter while sporting aluminum grille. IMO if it's drop test the lighter ones usually survive better. If you talk durability of being sit on tho... MV1 only feels cheap because of its lightness but that weight is intentional, it's one of the comfiest headphone you can have. MDR...- Sp12er3

.....and, I'm up for air!
Not classic, I mean as in they are slow in releasing new products, especially ones that become their halo product, ie HD800-800s, 820 & R10-Q010-Z1R. When you buy their flagship product, you can be sure there won't be a new model replacing what you just bought for at least 5 years Other...- Sp12er3

Sony Z1R....listening impressions only
MDR MV1 is already an open back that's tuned very close to the Z1R, it is about 20% more expensive than void tho. Nice to see new option on the "smartphone as DAP" market. It's just price fall way too fast for any smartphone. I wonder if their niche and low quantity of production will help them...- Sp12er3

Sony Z1R....listening impressions only
MDR Z1R is a great headphones in a market where making a closed back that universally fit everyone sonically is very hard. Everyone have their own Fav closed back tuning, some say the E3 is it, others the Verite Closed, but the Z1R definitely corner the more fun tuned sector very well. Like...- Sp12er3

Diana: the second release by Abyss Headphones!
With the lower price of old stock Diana V2 these days, this has suddenly become more reachable for me, the question is, is it different enough from my current Fav fullsize trios: Sony MDR Z1R, Audio Technica ADX5000 and Focal Clear? Will it completely replace any of the three? From impressions...- Sp12er3

.....and, I'm up for air!
Man can't believe it's been 12 years since that video. On mine it's exactly 1 page worth of text 🤭 and my phone is the extra long 21:9 Xperia 1 🤣. It IS telling that 90% of those texts are IEMs name tho, show you how saturated the market are in that segment is, unless you're big brands like...- Sp12er3

Focal Clear headphones
Does anyone know what type of screw is locking the driver assembly? I need to pull it out as the screw is stuck inside the grille.- Sp12er3

Focal Clear headphones
Yeah found the screw, it's trapped inside the grille, I'm not sure how it came off, but I right now I don't have the right bit to open the headphone up. I guess I should bring it to Jaben to have it looked at.- Sp12er3

Anyone having this similar experience? does the Clear not have silent updates during its run that solves some of these jankiness I've heard that early Elears/Elex also used to have?- Sp12er3

Focal Clear headphones
Bought a very lightly used Clear, it came in with all the accessories looking pristine, headphone look and smell good as well, it's just, I hear some rattling on the left side, like there's a loose screw inside, I tried rotating the headphone to hear and find which cavity it's actually trapped...- Sp12er3

Sony MDR-MV1
The MV1 is portable, comfortable, easy to drive and sound great, it has the characteristics of many people's "only headphone" managing to be competent for both desktop use and on the go. It does imo light in packaging and accessories for the price, but the build itself is not something that's...- Sp12er3

Sony MDR-MV1
Actually you can find a lightly used 1AM2 for cheaper and got a whole other headphone as bonus. 😂 But hey some people want better quality ones, but for me, I'm doing fine with using all of my 1AM2's accessories with the MV1.- Sp12er3

Why doesn't anybody like the Denon AH-D600
Humidity, anything stored for a long time will be like that if you live in tropical country, my room stays around 60-70% and it breaks many stuff, leather, paint, planar drivers tracers etc. It's better to regularly use your cans if you have them, if not keep them in dry container like ones for...- Sp12er3

The Official Sony TA-ZH1ES Hi-Res Headphone Amplifier (Live From IFA 2016)
Personally it's the closest one to a Z1R without breaking the bank, it's a straight upgrade from 1AM2, and IMO way better than the original Z7. It's more comfortable, smaller and easier to find parts for than the Z1R/Z7 line too. The caveat is packaging and included accessory is minimalist, as...- Sp12er3
