Audeze - Our Maxwell Gaming Headsets! (latest: Firmware v61 and HQ v97)
Something is wrong with my Maxwell. I have it only for a few months but suddenly one side of the headphone stopped working and the volume on the other side became extremely loud even on low volume setting. Not sure if this is a software issue or if the driver really just died. Factory reset did...- Misson07

Audeze LCD-4
Can anyone tell if this is the new pad from the 2021 revision or the original pad? From what I can tell the original pad is very thick and this seems to be a bit thinner than that but any confirmation would be nice.- Misson07

Audeze LCD-4
Just got a reply from the seller and the serial number is 41432xx so it should be fine. The unit does have some scratches and chips on the aluminum (?) part on the outside so it's not really in mint condition but at around $1600 I believe it's still a good deal for this headphone?- Misson07

Audeze LCD-4
is there any way to tell whether an LCD4 is the 100-ohm or 200-ohm version? I saw a good deal on a used unit at my local market but the owner is unsure about the purchase date. I don't think the unit is as old as 2015 but just wanna ask to be sure.- Misson07

Audeze - Our Maxwell Gaming Headsets! (latest: Firmware v61 and HQ v97)
Hello. Can I get a confirmation that the Playstation version of the headphone works perfectly fine with PC? I have a PS5 but not any Xbox console so I'm planning to buy the ps ver. but I'm also gaming on PC. Thanks!- Misson07

Up for sale is my Hifiman Susvara headphone. The unit is about 1.5 years old and is functioning perfectly. There are some light scratch on the headband if you try to look, due to how the adjusting mechanism work (nothing major, all surface are smooth), but otherwise in an excellent condition...- Misson07

HiFiMan Susvara
Hifiman cs just sent me a new pad and honestly they look the same to me (The left one is the new one). It does looks thicker but I assume it just because the new pads are still new and haven't yet deformed.- Misson07

QDC - Discussion and Impressions Thread
There are other iems that beat it handily in each category but all together? Yeah, the VX is still hard to beat. For example, the Shure KSE is better than the VX at everything in that list except soundstage. I would still get the VX over it though if I have to choose only one iem. Not that the...- Misson07

All switches off, always. If bass is priority then there are other iems that do it million times better. One of the VX strength is in its impecable balance in default configuration and I don't want to ruin that with bloat BA bass.- Misson07

Sony NW-ZX300
While it's true that the page of the older update got removed, you can still gain access to the file by editing the url of the newest version (at least up to 2.00 version). In case of 2.01, it goes like this: http://walkman.update.sony.net/fw/pc/ZX300/NW-ZX300_V2_01.exe- Misson07

Some people mentioned that the nozzle is rather short though personally I'm fine with it. I prefer them with rather loose seal anyway.- Misson07

Vision Ears and Rhines Custom Monitors (formerly Compact Monitors)
I read quite a few impressions of the Erlkonig but many didn't seem to mentiond its soundstage. Could anyone please comment on how large the soundstage on the Erlkonig is? How does it compare to something like the Tia Fourte or U18t in soundstage? Thanks.- Misson07

Thanks for the comparison, both for you :smile_phones: Surprise to hear that the i4 seem to have larger soundstage but I guess relatively smaller stage is just Focal thing.- Misson07

Focal Stellia Review, Measurements, Interview - Head-Fi TV
The Stellia is more neutral compare to the LCD4 with more treble presence and just isn't as rich sounding in general. It's still warm sounding with a really well done bass but with less bass texture and visceral impact than the LCD4 (and by sheer amount and presence as well). Resolution is...- Misson07

Focal Stellia Review, Measurements, Interview - Head-Fi TV
I found the sound of Stellia to be very fit dependent. Try fiddle with the headband and see if you can make it tighter on your head. With tight fit the sound is rather dark and full to me, though it won't be as rich sounding as the XC due to it generally more neutral (if warm tint) response...- Misson07

Focal Stellia Review, Measurements, Interview - Head-Fi TV
Just want to say that I found the sound of the Stellia to be very dependent on the fit. Now this is apply to all closed-back but I found the effect to be especially strong with Stellia. I could wear the Stellia with the step on the headband from 2-6 step, all sit safely from the top of my head...- Misson07

Khan didn't have electrostatic driver but a piezo electric which have different characteristic compare to a true electrostatic. Even the Sonion electrostatic driver implemented in Trinity (and many other) is not a true electrostatic, actually.- Misson07
