    AÜR AUDIO IEMs

Something is missing in this discussion … what eartips do you guys use lead to different sonic perception.

    AÜR AUDIO IEMs

I completely agree with this. These days, all the IEMs are pretty good with respect to the price point, especially within the same manufacturer like Aur. One is not necessarily better than the other, but just different flavor altogether.

Thanks Nik! Will be placing an order soon!

    AÜR AUDIO IEMs

Thanks - I'm looking for midrange forward and focus on female voices, sweet and organic. For bass, I already have the Maestro Mini and Scarlet Mini, and am eyeing at the new Symphonium TItan as well. My goal is to own all the Singapore trio: Aur Ascension, Fatfreq Scarlet Mini (will be selling...

    AÜR AUDIO IEMs

Haha yeah ... and Clarion wide-bore tips for enhanced treble, but I'm still tip rolling this thing. The Scarlet Mini is a bit brighter and more detailed than the Maestro Mini, the bass is equally or even more explosive, but I can only listen to it for like 10-15 minutes with a smiley face and...

    AÜR AUDIO IEMs

For sure! The Raphael is something … it turns my IE900 and Tia Fourté into sounding real sweet, keeping the same DACs. Anyway, Aurora was my first choice until the Ascension was released … then I came across Leonardf’s and Nik’s reviews, and now got even more confused haha … the trouble of...

    AÜR AUDIO IEMs

Thanks for this Nik, very insightful! For sweet, organic, female vocals like country music, guitar strings, and a bit of jazz, no K-Pop, would you recommend the Ascension over the Aurora? My setup will be with Cayin RU-6 and Eletech Raphael for something meaty and analog, and Shanling UA5 and...

    AÜR AUDIO IEMs

I am on the same boat and from what I have read, Ascension might be the way to go for me. I like good midrange and from what I have read, it seems to be neutral-warm W-tuning, midrange oriented? Also, I am too lazy to play around with the tuning options on the IEMs ... I just want to listen to...

Symphonium Titan - Impressions and reviews

Thank you for this. I currently have the Fatfreq Maestro Mini and Scarlet Mini for bass, but am letting go the former, and the 64 Audio Tia Fourte, TOTL from a few years back that still remain relevant for my detailed reference. Titan might be the way to go for me, don't need another airy...

Symphonium Titan - Impressions and reviews

From reading all these 11 pages, Are the Symphonium Titan more musical, with better bass and treble extension as compared to the Helios and Crimson? Or where does it sit with respect to its two fellow siblings, nevermind the Meteor and Triton? 😅 Has anyone compared them to the Maestro Mini...

    Meze Audio’s newest single-DD IEM - ADVAR

Are the Meze Advar still relevant these days? I am looking for smooth-sounding IEMs to replace my current setup for office use: Shanling UA5 - Lavricables Master - Sennheiser IE900, still using the same dongle DAC/AMP. In addition to the Meze Advar, I have also come across the following: Meze...

Cayin HA-2A, Compact Tube Headphone Amplifier

And the 6A too please if possible. Just spent the morning watching your comparison between the 3A, 6A, and 300B MKII, and then dedicated video on the 3A and the 300B MKII. Currently looking to upgrade from xDuoo TA-26 and Cayin is on my radar, just not sure which one. Pairing it with the ZMF...

Schiit Vali 3 : Impressions Thread

Thank you so much - right on point! After the OTL, I am wondering what's next - should I invest in a proper desktop/lounge tube amp like full-size Cayin HA-2A/3A/6A/300BMKII that work on triode/ultralinear, Feliks Audio Echo/Elise, ZMF Decware OTL, and eventually circled back to Schiit...

Schiit Vali 3 : Impressions Thread

How does the Vali 2+/2++/3 compared to Valhalla 2 or even OTL like xDuoo TA-26? Is the sound more tubey / holographic? I have the latter paired with Sennheiser HD800S and ZMF Atticus, streaming out of Cayin N7 3.5mm-to-RCA. Thinking about Modi Multibit and Vali 3 for my first Schiit.

FATfreq Impressions Thread - Bass Cannons and More

I actually use the Maestro Mini on country music with deep, heavy male vocals and Scarlet Mini pretty much on everything else involving female voice, from EDM to K-Pop. The latter is more airy and treble with a tad bit more details. I have both of them paired to the Cayin N7 streaming from Apple...

Cayin N3Ultra: an Entry-level Portable DAP that Delivers a Complete Vacuum Tube Audio Experience

I'm intrigued - Can I confirm that the tube works with both 3.5mm and 4.4mm? What got me confused is: "the tube timber circuit can only facilitate single-ended phone out, the balanced phone out is solid-state only" and this Yes, Tube Timbre will apply to all FOUR analog outputs, namely the...

Introducing the "Baroque Eartips" - Now Available!

In the market for new tips for the Fatfreq Maestro Mini and Scarlet Mini, and future Aur Audio Ascension. The Maestro Mini is more of a U-shape, heavy midbass with solid mids, and minimum treble, for listening to Country and male vocals. The Scarlet Mini is more of a V-shape, strong sub/midbass...

    AÜR AUDIO IEMs

Thanks for this! Looks to me like the Ascension is the Aurora v2.0, better than it in every which way. A very well written review, thank you so much!

    AÜR AUDIO IEMs

Thank you for your detailed review. This and along with @leonardfs review solidified my choice in getting the Ascension over the Aurora. I intend to primarily use it to listen to female vocals, slow and relaxing, a bit of jazz and country, like Hailey Loren, The Highwomen, etc., pairing it with...

    Effect Audio cables thread

If I were you, I'd go with the CODE 23 for cables, but bear in mind that cables do not change the sound as much as your IEMs, and then your source. I do listen to thick male vocals in Country as well, such as Chris Stapleton and Zach Bryan are some of my favorite. For this, I use the Fatfreq...

Cayin N7: A Voyager of Unexplored Frontier

Thanks - I didn’t expect a direct response, so it is very much appreciated. I have been thinking about getting a few albums to store offline in a micro SD for a start, played via Hiby / Cayin music app. If an album is offered in 96/44.1 or high res vs DSD vs MQA, which one should I download...

FATfreq Impressions Thread - Bass Cannons and More

I'm really thinking about the Fiio Q15 to go with the Fatfreq Maestro Mini and Scarlet Mini, but I am afraid it will sound like any other Fiio (used to own Fiio K9 Pro ESS). I am using Cayin N7 and Cayin RU6 at the moment at the office and JDS Labs Element III Mk2 for desktop setup.
