Violectric DHA V590 DAC/AMP - Blue Velvet
Very glad this digression could be helpful. I still want to make it clear that I'm not an "anti-HiRes" audiophile who ignores the role of the format in high-quality playback. As @project86 has mentioned, how much improvement you can get from a superior audio format depends on the "resolving...- Lambeek

Violectric DHA V590 DAC/AMP - Blue Velvet
Couldn't agree more. Also a huge fan of RR. The recordings of Manfred Honeck/Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra sound fantastic and show us how high the modern recording technologies can reach in terms of SQ - even at 16/44.1. Although many boutique recording companies use DSD or Hi-Res PCM as...- Lambeek

Violectric DHA V590 DAC/AMP - Blue Velvet
I'm also a fan of DSD recordings since to my ears DSD is more vivid and analog-like and always offers a less edgy listening experience than PCM could ever do - at least for acoustic recordings(mostly classical and jazz). However, I might be less troubled by the lack of superior audio...- Lambeek

Violectric DHA V590 DAC/AMP - Blue Velvet
Agree. There are more factors besides budget and sound quality that affect one's preference for separates or all-in-ones. In most cases, the separates can't defeat all-in-ones on price-performance ratio, while all-in-ones can't defeat separates on mix-n-match flexibility (or fun?). One drawback...- Lambeek

Violectric DHA V590 DAC/AMP - Blue Velvet
Does anyone have a chance to compare the performance of the DAC part of DHA V590 with some well-known dedicated DACs like Mytek Brooklyn DAC+, Benchmark DAC3, Chord Qutest or others with retail prices around $2K? If the DAC part of V590 is on par with or even slightly better than these DACs, one...- Lambeek

More eager to know the performance of the pure analogue section - might be a good indicator of the future HPA version of V590.- Lambeek

Netgear Orbi is a great choice since there is no cutoff in bandwidth between the router and the satellite, and the coverage and signal strength are also great form my experience. Google Wifi seems to be a great alternative at a lower price.- Lambeek

I am wondering whether it's possible to add AAC codec to Bluetooth receiver of M0? After all it’s the only high quality Bluetooth codec iDevices support.- Lambeek

Well, it’s hard to say so... After all poly is such a tiny device... Although I also own a google chromecast audio which seems to have good WiFi reception... But come on, it is Google who made this thing, thus to some degree it’s not fair to compare these technical specs(except SQ, of course)...- Lambeek

For your case the Johh Darko’s recent review of Poly might be helpful. He explained some details of the setup of the wireless network. It seems he ended up using a meshed WiFi network to boost the WiFi signal strength and coverage.- Lambeek

For now I believe the playlists created by Glider are only usable for Quickplay in either network mode or hotspot mode. There has to be a wireless network in place since Glider utilizes the network references of the music files to create MPD playlists rather than their real paths in microSD...- Lambeek

Totally agree. I believe I am not the only one who followed the recommended procedure to upgrade Poly’s firmware to 1.0.26 yet still can not avoid the bricking issue afterwards. Some poly owners at least saw solid white or blue P.status light, the others could not even light it up thus there...- Lambeek

As far as I am concerned, it doesn't. A common wireless network is essential for airplay, though it is usable in hotspot mode created by the iPhone or Poly. In this case every apple device successfully joined in the local wireless network generated by the hotspot can utilize airplay for music...- Lambeek
