Home-Made IEMs
You went for a very complex build buddy :D 1. Drivers are as good as you implement them. Good tuning, acoustical design, and crossover are huge factors. 2. It's hard to tell, as you're using a custom shell with no 3D-printed spaces for drivers. Generally speaking, low-frequency drivers can be...- Jedrula1

We have tested that resin. From my experience with that resin if you rinse prints in alcohol to remove excess liquid resin you can cure it without N2. But if you want to cure shells only after for eg. centrifuging, the N2 protective atmosphere will be necessary to get the surface without a...- Jedrula1

I have. Great drivers, but hard to tune tho. Dual has higher output, different impedance, and lower THD but the overall sound is similar.- Jedrula1

Yeah, that is the main issue regarding EST drivers. In the past, Sonion released a second revision of dual EST called EST65DB01 with a lower impedance transformer to improve output by +2.5 dB but unfortunately, it did not solve the problem in its entirety. In our flagship model Aurum we had to...- Jedrula1

The insertion depth is also something you need to consider during prototyping electrical and acoustic design - the deeper your CIEMs are, the lower the air volume between the IEM and eardrum, and hence the resonance frequency changes. That is why the approach to constructing universal IEMs and...- Jedrula1

Home-Made IEMs
Unfortunately this is not 'high resolution' printer if you want me to be honest ;) Get a syringe filled with alcohol, then put the tip at the end of the spiral and squeeze the syringe to make alcohol flow trough spiral. Repeat few times to get the best effects.- Jedrula1

You need high resolution, good quality DPL printer and take time to post-process the spiral to make sure all resin is washed and blown out before final curing. I am able to get more than 10cm of a spiral tube with a diameter of less than 0,5mm in very small print that fits custom shell easily...- Jedrula1

Home-Made IEMs
Well... kind of, but not exactly. There are few concepts: First one was what we have started with. One driver design with bass enhancement using long back vent tube connected inside resonator to the spout tube. Surprisingly we realized, that we can use it also as high pass acoustical filter...- Jedrula1

Probably 1m tubing is not necessary :) This is how it looks like now. But it is no perfect yet. When it will be, we'll share everything. Two drivers, two acoustical filters(lo and high pass, cross over point around 180hz) , no dampers (roll of below 30hz due to bad seal):- Jedrula1

Long road to go, but still getting there. The acoustically highpassed RAB sounds great. The bass phase issue will be fixed only acoustically to keep electrical phase perfectly clean. Target remains the same - to keep no-damper design with acoustical lopass and highpass filters.- Jedrula1
