👍🏻 Would be interesting to see if the Chords dacs are affected. I'm using optical input and battery on my Mscaler and then onto a Chord Dave via bnc. Will look at the Intona though.- LeeJB1970

I assume this doesn't matter for the Chord dacs though as their jitter control is first class?- LeeJB1970

Yes that’d work too. Topping would be useful down the line as a dac though.- LeeJB1970

It will. More importantly, you’re breaking the electrical connection from the Mac by using the Topping and toslink optical. Kinda what the Opto does.- LeeJB1970

It’s true! I have the same set up but I use a streamer instead of my Mac. Only reason being I want to separate Mac from music apart from remote control.I had the SRC-DX and sent it back. Bixpower will set you back a fair amount as you’ll have to import from California...- LeeJB1970

Just use a good ddc inbetween Mac and HMS. I use the Topping D10. Feed the HMS optical input from the ddc. You could also use a bixpower power bank to power the HMS. Job done.- LeeJB1970

Meze Audio LIRIC - The portable isodynamic hybrid array headphone
I'm interested in the Woo mini but may wait until a 2nd gen appears. I've opted for the Chord Hugo 2 with the Fiio M11S as transport for my portable use, as I will only be at home or at a fixed location. I trialled the L&P W4 & Ibasso DC Elite. Great if you want to use for commuting.- LeeJB1970

Thanks for your detailed description. Very helpful in determining what I’m looking out for and I think the ibasso will have better synergy with my headphones. I have no experience of iems so can’t comment on those.- LeeJB1970

I’m current trialling the dc elite against the L&P W4. Having a hard time deciding as both great. Can I garner any input from others who made the choice for one over the other? I’m driving Meze Liric or Focal Utopia 22.- LeeJB1970

Thanks Daniel. Would you still recommend changing the stock 3.5 cable? If so, what do you use. I understand OCC copper works best.- LeeJB1970

Meze Audio LIRIC - The portable isodynamic hybrid array headphone
Hi I’ve a pair of the LIRIC coming in tomorrow for portable use. Looking for dongle dac/amp recommendations. I am currently trialling the L&P W4 and Ibasso DC Elite. Should I trial the Mojo 2 too? I’ve previously owned this but is a little bulky for portable use and the button system is not...- LeeJB1970

The supplied cable fits the Mscaler and it comes with it's own charger. You will need an adapter to use the non-regulating battery output. Disconnect from mains whilst using.- LeeJB1970

I would send the Krisdonia back and order the Bixpower BP90. Rob and others have stated the Krisdonia was the worst of the batteries for Mscaler. Definitely look for the coax to toslink converter too.- LeeJB1970
