I scored another 5998. Chatham JAN-CAHG-5998 Price: $75 Seller admitted it was untested but they accepted returns. Who knows what I’ll receive?? Test results are in… Using the Hickok chart, it’s around the 100% mark for both. Using 15k scale to get a notated number. (10,750/10,500) 🥳...- therremans

Should be fine.. but you could mount a chassis fan on the bottom vents to cycle out the hot air if you’re concerned about capacitor lifespan.- therremans

I had one scenario where I bought a set of GEC 6J5GT straight bottles. One arrived with a hum that wouldn’t go away. Before I even inquired they had one on the way to replace it. It could also be that they had a decent stock or making good profit on them, etc.- therremans
