Did you add the thermostat fan controller? 😂 It actually works really well, the higher the temp, the faster the fan rpm.

Should be fine.. but you could mount a chassis fan on the bottom vents to cycle out the hot air if you’re concerned about capacitor lifespan.

I would reflow/replace the solder and test it.

I had one scenario where I bought a set of GEC 6J5GT straight bottles. One arrived with a hum that wouldn’t go away. Before I even inquired they had one on the way to replace it. It could also be that they had a decent stock or making good profit on them, etc.

If it was sold as-is for parts non working, you’re stuck. If sold as used, you can get a refund, even if the seller states no returns, untested.
