VU meters and the amp's gain settings are two different thing. So previously dip switches were for the gain, on the v322/324 is now in the front left corner. Dip switches is for VU meters only (input signal and needle should be in normal range), it should not have affect on the volume.

I wonder if any audio/mixing engineers do use these type of amps in studio. Maybe if they use harder to drive HPs? Or maybe for home desktop studio like what I have, is just a small mixer and a focusrite DAW with just a clipping signal light, then the VU meter can help me further fine tune Dip...

No it doesn’t have a DAC coz it’s called HPA. If it had one will be called DHA, same as V226 Seems the V324 has a Line out/Pre-amp to be connected to active speakers. Or both HP and speakers playing music simultaneously.
