Raal Ribbon Headphones - SRH1A
in this respect, dear rlawry, even with all its problems, the AKG K1000 is still better than the Sr1a/b and the mySphere 3. It's amazing... When audiophile jargon talks about "naturalness", it usually refers to timbre, forgetting that the distribution of sound in space should also sound...- Sandro Sena

The Stax Thread III
I'm a fan of ear speakers (K1000, Sr1a, mySphere, Stax-Sigma), I consider them to be superior for the type of music I listen to, recognizing, of course, their flaws, there's no such thing as a perfect transducer. Periodically, the possibility of selling the BHSE + SR-009 combo enters my horizon...- Sandro Sena

Headamp Blue Hawaii Special Edition
Hi, please help me detect and eventually solve a problem in my rather complex system. The DAC is connected directly to the BHSE through the balanced XLR output, I use the balanced XLR loop output of the BHSE to send the same signal to a preamp with pseudo-balanced XLR inputs, i.e. single-ended...- Sandro Sena

Denafrips Arce
of course, this would be a technically feasible and aesthetically (in my case) questionable option, but if there are streamers on the market that offer the wifi option, as is the iFi Zen I own, why do it? I would like to integrate Arce into my system because it has an i2s output, eliminating...- Sandro Sena

Denafrips Arce
because there is no way to connect an ethernet cable from the router to the streamer, the electrical conduits of my residence do not accommodate more cables than the ones that already exist and I would have to live with a cable crossing the living room- Sandro Sena

Stax SR-X9000
I understand what the colleague means and I accept his perspective, which refers to things sounding (and in this sense, artists intend something), but I refer to the sound of things, an auditive phenomenon of positioning that qualifies the specifically audiophile position, derived from a strange...- Sandro Sena

Stax SR-X9000
When I read that annoying platitude "as the artist intended" I ask myself how Weiss, Bach, Buxtehude, Beethoven and a plethora of other great and true artists through the centuries "intended their works to sound". It doesn't make any sense. And it doesn't even make sense to the performers...- Sandro Sena

It's really interesting how good the Sigmas sound when playing stereo recordings from the 1960s. I believe Hayashi-San developed the Sigma with these Living Stereo recordings as a reference.- Sandro Sena

I believe the Sigmas were developed under the impact of the RCA Living Stereo recordings, because they sound great with it, even better than contemporary recordings. If the classical genre appeals to you, I suggest giving it a try...- Sandro Sena

MYSPHERE 3.1-UNIQUE in SOUND&DESIGN&BUILD QUALITY
That's great to know, Herr Renner, that it's safe to use it like that, but let me ask: using the "Transparent" cushions, will the sound be altered too much compared to using them without any cushion or will I get a similar result?- Sandro Sena

MYSPHERE 3.1-UNIQUE in SOUND&DESIGN&BUILD QUALITY
A small great discovery... 100% of my listening is devoted to classical repertoire from the European musical tradition (but created by composers from all over the world) and something from the venerable Indian classical music tradition. In recent years, almost all of that time has been taken up...- Sandro Sena

MYSPHERE 3.1-UNIQUE in SOUND&DESIGN&BUILD QUALITY
that's the technical/design contradiction that all ear speaker lovers have to live with. I have accepted them as they are. Among the four successful models (considering the Stax Sigma variants as part of the group, although it doesn't fall entirely under that category), AKG K1000 is the only one...- Sandro Sena

History of the AKG K1000?
Thank you, I contacted them the day before yesterday, but they told me they don't ship to other countries. I would buy that amount of material with no problem if they shipped to Brazil, and I would experiment with my Stax Sigma units, replacing that wool just for the pleasure of experimenting...- Sandro Sena

History of the AKG K1000?
Thank you, Herr Renner and other members who tried to help, but... "standardmäßiger", "standard", means not reticulated? The whole difficulty is in obtaining 80ppi foam, reticulated or not.- Sandro Sena

History of the AKG K1000?
ok, I give up... could someone please recommend me a technically perfect substitute material ("same" acoustic properties) for the virtually unobtainable 80ppi :rage: reticulated polyurethane foam with open cellular structure?
