But what you can see is that thanks to the angular housing, this model is certainly no longer a flatterer, like the DX160, DX170.

iBasso DX170 You want your Music? It is right here. *** NEW Firmware: 1.06 Apple support and other additions! ***

I suspect that the choice of the DAC used and a subsequent exclusive OPAMP may have arisen out of necessity, because I actually thought an output stage was already integrated into the DAC, but with worse values. Remember, this player was created at a time during Corona and the associated...

iBasso DX170 You want your Music? It is right here. *** NEW Firmware: 1.06 Apple support and other additions! ***

A long wait can be worth it. With the release of the DX260, I had an inner hope that the DX180 could soon be announced. Then I'm looking forward to Paul-iBasso's announcement and the first reviews. In any case, it could be the worthy successor to my DX160.

iBasso DX160 - The listening experience only gets better and better. ******NEW FW 1.09 - link 1st page.******

My observation is that the DX160 works optimally with high-efficiency headphones, i.e. more than 105db/1Vrms. I use earbuds with around 110 db/1Vrms at a volume setting between 26 and 32. Theoretically, I still get 8 hours, but I recharge the battery at around 30%.

Once again a short statement. Because I had already disabled some Android elements for the standard user interface. Black screens still occurred sporadically. Since I deactivated the system app "com.android.smspush", my DX160 combination with AIMP 4.02.1368 has been running for a few weeks...

Where can you officially download this firmware from 2023? The latest version listed on ibasso.com is “V1.09.350 Aug 1st, 2022V1.09.350”. I will continue to use the device as long as the battery allows it. In a thread not long ago I reported something about the changes I had made and...

The test is disappointing. It was also not stated whether such a replacement battery is capable of quick charging. I'm currently charging the original battery from about 30% to 100% in 1.5 hours. That's justifiable, so I can plan the time optimally.

Only apps that support this allow rotation. Most of the time this is limited to switching from portrait to landscape, but not 180 degrees.

I've had the DAP for three years now. After initial bumpy attempts, I was able to largely circumvent these problems. What remains is the sporadic start to the "black screen" if I don't unplug the charger shortly after it's fully charged. As I've already written, I don't use the Mango player...

iBasso DX170 You want your Music? It is right here. *** NEW Firmware: 1.06 Apple support and other additions! ***

Is this iBassoMusic app a special app or is it just the Mango player with the same range of functions as the DX160/DX170? What particularly bothers me is the lack of the crossfade function.

Some more technical background knowledge about SPDIF, as this standard is a bit older. Not every receiver with an SPDIF input supports all signal forms, but at least the common ones, such as 44.1kHz/16 and 24bit, or 48kHz. It is therefore illusory to believe that this 1:1 ratio will be passed on...

Yes, I often use the DX160 via SPDIF on the receiver and listen to music through the large speakers. I had tested via DLNA, but the same music is on my NAS as on the SD card in the DX, so it wasn't necessary. I sometimes use the DX160 as a player for the receiver for Internet radio. It is...

Try AIMP (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.aimp.player), I've been using the PC version for years and the Android version with the DX160. But I'm completely unbiased towards the program developer (regarding the political situation there), it's also freeware and is constantly...

Such observations were also made on the DX170 in connection with the Mango player. The problem could be low RAM or the Lurker mod is buggy. What is it like to create the corresponding playlists on the PC in advance and then read them in from the playback app? I use MP3Tag for this and put the...

It's not that difficult. Install the "ADBAppcontrol" tool on a Windows PC (Windows 7 or higher), plus the universal driver provided. Enable developer mode on the DX160, allow USB debugging and connect the DAP to the PC with a USB cable. Then launch the tool on the PC and the DX160 will be...

I still have my DX160 and have seen the same issues. The supplied Mango player is a crutch, it never convinced me, I'm not be impressed by the operation and the functions. For this reason I gave the Windows program "ADBAppControl" a chance to edit installed apps and that was the breakthrough...

Short interim status: no more black screens and the player is absolutely stable. I currently have the latest AIMP Release Candidate installed. It doesn't matter if I switch between Bluetooth to SPDIF or to headphones, I love this player.

I'll get back to you after deactivating software components that I didn't need a while ago. These are marked as "not installed for the user" and thus no longer occupy RAM. Before disabling these unneeded components, the DX160 would sporadically have a black screen from time to time. It was...

Yes, I use the player offline most of the time. I look for updates on the PC. With Internet radio, I also like to transfer the stream to my AV receiver via SPDIF so that I can be sprinkled with music via large floor-standing speakers. It is a pity that no Android security updates have been...

For a good four weeks I have slimmed down my DX160, which affects services running in the background and not required. I have given the tip in the DX170 thread. Amazingly, this has increased stability and endurance. Runtime between charges has increased by almost one hour. It was important to me...

@Ozzie070 If there are errors, the Mango Player will be updated with firmware updates, but will hardly get any new functions. If the SD card window appears again, click on the "Setup" field in it, and then the rest will follow. If you want to get rid of pre-installed apps and not just send...

Hi, I've the previous model DX160. The SD card thing is simple, you just have to register it once as a removable disk to transfer photos and media. No data is lost in the process. The preinstalled Mango Player is a crutch. Is quite good for testing what possibilities the DX170 offers, but for...

While you can disable unused apps and system apps on the DX160, it's still only visual. If you have deactivated an app, then delete the cache and memory, then the memory (cache and memory used) should be zero when you later call up the app list. But this is only the case if the app were really...

Well, I did it: After I installed the Windows program "ADBAppControl" and made the appropriate settings on the DX160 according to the instructions on the homepage, I now have access to blocked apps. Since I don't use and need things like Google Play /Playstore, apps running unnecessarily in the...
