This is not going to helpful, but here goes anyway. The SR25 is great for listening to CD/HiRes music files. That's the only thing I do with it. Podcasts, that's for my iphone to take care of. That, and music on the go/while walking/exercise.

You definitely don't need to wait 500+ hours to hear a difference. I started using the 2.5" balanced cable about a week after I received my SR25. Huge difference right away. For burn in, I threw my SR25 in the oven for 45 minuttes, presto change-o, musical bliss!

I've been enjoying the Rai Solo's for almost a year. They are mostly an excellent IEM, with only some slight harshness at times, but otherwise really good! Actually, the harshness could be the source recording, I don't know, but for one dynamic speaker in each bud, they are stunning.

Yeah, it's pretty restrictive on what you can use with it. I'd just load the pdf's on your phone, laptop or tablet and read the pdf's from there. Much larger screen to start with!

Just some info you might be interested in. I know ripping hundreds of cd's is time consuming, and that you've done so in WMA format. I purchased and use an app called, Switch, by NCH Software. It will quickly format most any audio file from one to the other, including WMA.

I just tested my SR25 by playing what AmazonHD displays as, Ultra HD. It reads out as follows: Track Quality 24-bit/48kHz; Device Capability: 24-bit/48kHz; Currently Playing at: 24-bit/48kHz; Codec: FLAC Hope this is helpful.

AmazonHD is working fine for me, though I don't pay attention to what the SR25's indicator says. I listen via Bluesound Powernode, Macbook Air M1, and SR25 via WiFi 2.4G. Sounds great!
